I was having a conversation with some non farm friends about water.
I told them, watch the governments shut every pivot off in Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma and watch overall consumption and depletion actually increase because industry will have it handed to them on a silver platter by the state governments.
It was never about water usage and what it’s used on. It’s about who is using it and the fact the states have very little control over it. They also don’t profit from it as much as if it was being ran through a factory or AI data center.
