I knew Charlie Kirk from his early days. Over the years our paths would cross at events and TV studios and we would text each other & share thoughts & concerns about the situation in the country. I never saw him happier than he was after he married Erika & then became a father. It transformed him. He was mad about her & completely devoted to her & their beautiful children. He would run for the plane to get home as fast as he could. He literally could not wait to be with them, no matter where he was or what he was doing. It was a beautiful thing to see. I think the way Erika has been treated by some would wound him deeply. I cannot speak for him obviously, but as a man of principle & of his word,who was loyal & consistent & loved his wife/family deeply, it is not hard to imagine how this would make him feel. I do not need to name people or be dragged into some unseemly online squabble that to me is beneath any decent person & so far has served no worthy purpose or greater good. Those are battles no one ever wins anyway - we all lose something no matter what the outcome. I just try my best every day to do the right thing for the right reasons & speak up when I see something that to me is obviously wrong. You know it in your heart, you feel it in your soul. I do not know everything & nor do I pretend to - take this for whatever it is worth to you.
