They're halfway home. The Artemis II astronauts have hit the "halfway" mark between the Moon and the Earth. They will splash down in the Pacific Ocean around 8:07 pm ET on Friday, April 10 (0007 UTC on Saturday, April 11), off the coast of San Diego.

Listening to Rob Navias on the Artemis II livestream, it amazes me every time he says that the crew is not yet half way back to Earth from the Moon. Even though they're landing this time tomorrow. "It's just the way orbital mechanics works."

Distance makes the heart grow fonder…it didn’t take 219,669 miles to remind me how much love I have for Ellie and Katey. They have been incredible supporters during this journey, and they now fully understand why it was important for me to go explore into the unknown.
