Tuition-free college? No. Universal healthcare? No. Banning TikTok? Yes. The priorities of our government are backwards.

What we are witnessing in Beirut is the product of decades of the U.S. and Israel normalizing assassination as a legitimate policy (but only when they do it). It doesn’t matter how many civilians die in pursuit of killing the “bad guys.”

The U.S.—in multiple ways—has enabled Israel to promote a doctrine that Israel is allowed to kill as many civilians (with U.S. weapons) as it wishes with impunity in the name of “self defense” or killing the “terrorists.”

There is intense focus on the fate of Nasrallah right now. These were massive American bombs Israel dropped on a densely populated residential area in Beirut and we still have no sense of how many people died. It’s going to be a very large number.
