All of us are selective sinners. We choose the sin we are comfortable with, and judge others that commit the ones we are not comfortable with.

Jokic this year: More assists per game than Steve Nash’s 2006 MVP. More rebounds per game than Giannis’ 2019 MVP. More points per game than Steph’s 2015 MVP. More steals per game than five of last seven MVP winners. Nobody else alive can do that. Nobody.

France banned mail-in voting in 1975 - DUE TO FRAUD. Mexico banned mail-in voting in 1992 - DUE TO FRAUD. Belgium banned mail-in voting in 2018 - DUE TO FRAUD. Sweden, Italy, Japan, Russia, Latin American countries and the Middle East DO NOT ALLOW MAIL-IN VOTING. Democrats would have you believe that the 2020 election that had a staggering amount of mail-in voting was the "most secure election in American history." Get. Fucked. You cheating bastards.

@TroyRenck Time for all of to move past regular season MVP for Jokic and instead focus on the real prize: Finals MVP!

I know. But even Jokic admitted he was too inconsistent in the month after returning from injury. He also averaged 5 turnovers a game for two-plus weeks. He is great. But he’s not MVP this season
Words Matter@SportsPen

@TroyRenck He’s going to average a triple double this year. Historic. They’ll end up 4th in the West and even when you look at the lineup changes over the season they’ll still win 50 games.

Heard an argument for Luka over Jokic based on "Jokic missing all that time for injury." Luka has played in 2 more games. They are 1.5 games ahead of Den. Luka shoots a worse % from every shooting category. Fewer rebounds, assists, blks All he does is take 6 more shots a game.

@NBAcrazystats @Stathead @wemby And yet, he still doesn't average more rebounds per game than the greatest player in the NBA. You know: the same guy who, oh yeah, also leads the NBA in assists per game.

Moreover, it was Wembanyama's fifth straight game with 15 or more rebounds, which is tied for the seventh-longest such streak by a Spurs player (per @Stathead):

After recording 41 points, 16 rebounds, and three blocks on Monday night, Victor Wembanyama had 41 points, 18 rebounds, and three blocks on Wednesday. He became the only player since 1973-74 (when the @NBA began tracking blocks) to record 40 points, 15 rebounds, and 3 blocks in back-to-back games.

The more I dig into this NBA MVP race, the more I think... A) This is the best four-man MVP race in NBA history, and B) It's kind of ludicrous that Nikola Jokić isn't going to win it.

Jordan Hawkins (357.9) A number of catch-all metrics from the around the internet endeavor to tell us who's playing best every year. And though many of the different adjusted plus-minuses attempt to measure the same thing (an individual player’s impact on the game when he’s on the floor), they have slightly different ways of getting there. If you want to acknowledge the most accessible ones, you could say something like… “Jayson Tatum is 3rd in Basketball Reference’s box plus/minus and 7th in wins over replacement player; 3rd in Dunks and Threes’ estimated plus-minus and 5th in estimated wins; 9th in Basketball Index's LEBRON and 31st in LEBRON WAR; 6th in ESPN's Net Points per 100 possessions and 21st in Net Points WAR; and 2nd in Basketball Reference’s game score per 100 possessions and 17th in total game score..." …but that’s quite a mouthful. For the last several seasons, I’ve been sharing something of a shorthand for the above. Instead of rattling off that list for any and all players one might want to discuss, I sort every qualified player by the average of their ranks in those stats (as well as their cumulative variants). The results give credit to each of the metrics, throw a bone to basic numbers (through the use of game score) and reward players for availability (through the addition of the cumulative marks). The lists produced by this exercise aren’t perfect, but none are. Strictly subjective rankings obviously have their own flaws. This is at least a guide. And it can give you a pretty good idea of who’s been the best (or worst) in 2025-26. If you’re looking for a specific player (like, oh say, Paolo Banchero), do the handy little “control (or command) plus F” trick on your keyboard and type in that player’s name. Oh, and one more caveat. If someone looks lower than you thought he should be (a warranted reaction to some placements), bear in mind that cumulative numbers (think points, rather than points per game) are in play. So those who've missed plenty of time are affected by that. *Shout out to Tim MacMahon for coming up with the name "Huge Nerd Index" or HNI. It's a little late in the game to do this, but I was curious to see if or how adding DARKO DPM to the mix might affect things. So, I did. Being just one-sixth of the stew didn't make much of a difference, but there's certainly an argument for getting another reputable number in there. And the real math people might hate me for mixing a predictive number in with non-predictive ones, but they've never cared for me much anyway. So, it's in!

🚨 Colorado under progressive Democrats rule: One of the most expensive places to live 💸+ the 2nd most dangerous state in America (U.S. News & World Report 2025). ⚠️ They’ve crushed businesses with regulations and over half a billion dollars in annual tax hikes to fund their progressive pet programs. 📉 Now they’re fast-tracking 4 new bills: higher taxes on businesses, eliminated deductions, trimmed tax breaks — and they want your TABOR refund permanently. 🛑 The cost of all of these is passed straight to Colorado’s families: groceries, rent, insurance, taxes, fees, etc. — everything more unaffordable. 🛒🏠 This isn’t random. It’s the progressive playbook: raise taxes, gut family refunds, expand government control. 📝 This November, Colorado families of ALL parties can end it. 🗳️ Watch our new video 👇 Repost if you’re fed up with the madness and want change.
