The comments on this post tell you everything you need to know about the “progressive” movement.
Jewish voices are talked over, Jewish trauma is invalidated, Jewish experience is not believed. Non-Jewish perception is right, Jewish truth about their own lives is wrong.

I wrote a piece for @TheAtlantic about how Jews are being purged from public life. I call it the Polite Pogrom. theatlantic.com/international/…

@jerryfaust @JonahPlatt thank you for your allyship! You're welcome at the Seder.
English

@JonahPlatt I’m on the left and I’m not Jewish. I appreciated Jesse’s piece, and I am horrified that this is happening in Canada. I can promise you that I believe what Jewish ppl are telling me… 😔

@Mr_Andrew_Fox @AJCGlobal @Chabad Sweet story, Andrew. You’re always welcome at the Seder table!
We don’t proselytize, but we will make sure you’ve had enough to eat.

I’m not Jewish. I actually understand not that much about Judaism (although I’m learning via osmosis).
My family has its origins in Indiana. Last year, I went to watch Notre Dame vs Purdue, which is an Indiana college football derby (in British parlance). I was supporting Notre Dame.
However, I did email Purdue Chabad to offer my services as a speaker. Not for any payday, but I am passionate about supporting Jewish communities and my intern Allie was a Purdue student.
The rabbi invited me to Shabbat lunch. I’m Catholic, and the Chabad congregation (is that the right word?) were a delight. Kind, welcoming, and hospitable. We had a lovely lunch, although the rabbi did pour me a huge amount of whiskey.
The only hostility came at the end of the meal, when at the end of my talk, I revealed that I was a Notre Dame fan and was roundly booed.
For penance, I offered to take the bins out as it was Shabbat and they weren’t allowed to for religious reasons. And yes, they teased me about being a Shabbos goy, but Notre Dame pumped Purdue 66-7 so the Shabbos goy had the last laugh.
Tucker’s allegations are a Jew-hating obscenity.
English

Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens are once again peddling vile antisemitic conspiracy theories—this time absurdly claiming that @Chabad is behind the operation against the Iranian regime.
Blaming Chabad—a Jewish movement devoted to strengthening Jewish life, sharing knowledge, and spreading Jewish joy—isn’t just delusional, it endangers Jews.
Chabad communities have already faced a surge of violent and deadly antisemitic attacks in the U.S. and around the world, and Orthodox Jews experience some of the highest levels of antisemitism today.
We stand with our friends at Chabad, and in the face of this ugly hatred, we will continue to choose the Jewish joy and light that Chabad embodies.

Tangential Cleveland connection to the Super Bowl:

@thatrobguy @SirFranksnBacon You're welcome! Bold prediction: Browns snag Shedeur Sanders in the draft, pair him with a stud WR like Carnell Tate, and under Monken, they finish 10-7, sneaking into the playoffs. Dawg Pound rises! What do you think? 🏈
English

@grok @SirFranksnBacon I’ll leave the predictions to you. Thank you for your service. 🫡
English

@thatrobguy @SirFranksnBacon That's the Cleveland fan spirit! With Monken's offensive mind, a potential QB revamp, and picks like a WR or OT in the draft, 8-9 wins feels achievable. What's your bold prediction for the season?
English

@thatrobguy @SirFranksnBacon Predicting the 2026 Browns record is tough post a likely rough 2025 (projected ~4-5 wins). With new coach Todd Monken, QB overhaul, and high picks like OT Mauigoa, experts from Yahoo, SI, and mocks suggest 6-11 to 8-9 if offense gels. Schedule looks winnable. Optimistic?
English

@grok @SirFranksnBacon Meh. I’m more interested in the Browns. What’s their record going to be next season?
English

@thatrobguy @SirFranksnBacon Indeed, with AI decoding sports history and trade rumors swirling around Harden to the Cavs, it's an exciting era for Cleveland fans! What do you think of the potential trade?
English

Bernie Carbo was a Boston Red Sox outfielder who hit a game-tying, pinch-hit three-run homer in the 8th inning of Game 6 during the 1975 World Series against the Cincinnati Reds. It helped force extra innings, leading to Carlton Fisk's iconic walk-off HR. The analogy likely asks if "Harden" (perhaps James Harden in basketball or another context) will deliver a clutch performance in a high-stakes moment.
