These opportunities are where money is made. A sell off was inevitable, and it likely continues in some capacity until, at-least, Warsh’s FED day next week.
The media will push “bubble popping” fears from every angle, spooking 65-year-old Joe and his couple million dollar retirement fund into safe havens. The algos will amplify those fears because volatility is where they make money. Funds will quietly scoop up shares cheap while panic spreads.
I think we see a healthy 5-10% correction, which would honestly be a gift. I’m bullish for the rest of the year. These are the periods where long-term positions are built. Have a plan and execute.
What I’ll be added to through the volatility:
Samsung $005930.KS
Semtech $SMTC
MediaTek $2454.TW
Lumentum $LITE
Could also be completely wrong and this thing rips straight to the moon tomorrow. That’s markets. Nobody knows.
I’ve been preparing for a decent dump, so I hope we get one.
Started Samsung position. Looking into Tokyo Electron/ASM International over the next few days. More confident after Google raise that the buildout is going to be longer than currently expected. Terafab is probably completely dismissed right now too.
my big revelation this past week is that the clearest opportunities in the market to me are in semicap - $ONTO $MKSI $AMAT $ASML $LRCX $KLAC. things will stay tight for the foreseeable future which is / will be reflected in a lot of folks but not here yet. Terrafab is also pretty real
@boymanrobshit I think it's nearly impossible near term (at least 4 quarters) because of the rise of so many neoclouds who have booming valuations + google raise more capex+ spacex after ipo - part of 80b will be spent on nvidia gpus i guess thats where my conviction is
$NVDA is probably the greatest engineering company in the world, but I have trouble holding the stock rn. One missed earnings… And it will happen eventually, even if it’s slight… Will cause a 25% crash in the stock. seems asymmetrical
From a reputable source, I am hearing that the Swedish Economic Crime Authority is currently investigating the X user 'Serenity'. Stay tuned for more details from this breaking story.
