@JKFischer If it's a copycat league then the Devils should have copied: MTL (fired goaltending coach), CBJ (fired head coach), TOR (fired GM), and MIN (some kind of trade to bring in big talent). But alas, management and ownership is happy doing things their own way.

Based on the 'data centric' criteria Keith Pelley laid out for next Leafs GM the candidates are (all working at AGM level) - Tim Barnes (WSH), Tyler Dellow (CAR), Alexandra Mandrycky (SEA), Sunny Mehta (FLA), Darryl Metcalf (TOR). Will the Leafs go this direction?

@AlexC_NJD It's funny that the entire rest of the league has given a literal roadmap (including big trades,firing coaches including goaltending, firing GMs, etc)that the Devils could follow and improve, but chose to stick it out in their own failing way.

If the Devils are planning on doing something with Fitz, whether that's firing him altogether or splitting Pres/GM duties, probably time to get moving there.
Jobs are starting to open up, and you're gonna want to start interviewing candidates sooner rather than later

It is hilarious how the same 30-something white men get the same jobs over and over and over again. No new hires allowed, just gotta wait for them to all retire to the cottages and then we have no more NHL!

@CJTDevil No matter what happens down the stretch, there needs to be wholesale changes at the management level. They can't even admit that Marty made a mistake backing rogalski as the goaltending coach. That should be the easiest firing ever but they can't do it.

It's unclear to me what happened and why.
There are versions of the story that would absolve 80% of what I've blamed on Keefe.
If Fitzy was dictating scheme + micromanaging deployment then yeah obviously it's not Keefe's fault.
Here's what I'll say. SOMEBODY has to be fired.
