My Drill Sergeant used to say “You won’t get in trouble if you show up at the right place, at the right time, in the right uniform.” That has always stuck with me. Anxiety has kicked my ass, today. Doctor appointments, bank appointments, lawyer appointments and work is starting to get busy. Having to get in touch with one to get documents for the others and vice versa. A lot has to get done, in many different areas, in the next couple of weeks, for certain outcomes. In my moderate pain and discomfort today, that anxiety got to me. I just took a minute to pet my dog, and say a prayer, and those words came back to me. The outcome of anything isn’t really up to me. It never was. I just have to do my part, which is to show up at the right place, at the right time, wearing the right uniform. Like God was speaking in my old DS’s voice saying “Too easy, private.”

Just for reference, I make fun of ALL of our allies. All of them. I schedule out 2 weeks around the 4th, every single year, just to make fun of the Brits. Don’t get me started on the French. I also make fun of myself regularly. We all live on a rock, floating through space. It’s not that serious.

@thomas_garrard How many times do we have to say this: This is not a new war. This should have been done years ago. Every president kicked this down the road. It had come to an inflection point, such that it was no longer possible to ignore.

I hated Mark Levin and Lindsey Graham, during the last administration, because they kept calling for us to escalate the war in Ukraine. You hated them, too, until like 5 minutes ago. I was against new wars in the Middle East. You were, too, until like 5 minutes ago. The difference is, I didn’t change. You did.
