Men, take note: It’s not compulsory for your wife to take your surname after marriage. There’s no law in Nigeria that forces a woman to change her surname to her husband’s. Trying to pressure or force her to do so can be seen as a v!olation of her fundamental rights and it can attract legal consequences for you as a man. At the end of the day, it’s her choice. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse.

These men are insecure and it’s laughable. That’s all I see. How does a stranger’s consensual relationship affect these men crying in the comments? What are they holding him accountable for? Did he commit a crime? Men are wailing on social media because they were told what to expect if they keep cheating on their wives even as it hasn’t happened. Men spend their entire waking hours shaming women, young and old, saying all sorts about them but it’s obvious they can’t stand to be rejected by the same women. Wake up and face reality.
