A friend of mine was not allowed to name her first child because they don’t want her tribe name.
Her husband single handedly picked the English name, the mother-in-law picked Igbo name and she wanted to pick an uhrobo name as she was urhobo but was told she cannot because they don’t want the child to bear an urhobo name .
She insisted on picking an English name but was told the child cannot have two English names. That was how she never got to name a child she carried and birthed.

i can't buy into this idea of marry rich or only date high value men cause there is zero security in any of that.

My aunt who told me, “Don’t you know what your mates do to get money?” when I called her for help with feeding back in university has been reporting me to my mom because I haven’t reached out to her since then.
The day my mom asked me to call her, I just asked a simple question , “Which of her own kids have ever called you, even once, just to say hi?”

My neighbor downstairs has been married for 5 years.
Yesterday around 11pm, I heard serious argument through the window because nepa took light and everywhere became quiet 😭
The wife was crying and shouting,
