Claude Code now supports an `if` field in hooks It uses permission rule syntax to filter when a hook runs, which is useful when you want a hook on some bash commands but not every single one!

@trq212 massive props on the `/remote-control` feature it’s really good! I think I found a small bug with the Claude App where I can’t unarchive a convo, so now my remote session is forever locked in an archived chat.

Claude Code 2.1 added (among many other awesome things) Agent-Scoped Hooks and Context Fork for Skills! Agent-scoped hooks - you can now define PreToolUse, PostToolUse, and Stop hooks in an agent's frontmatter that only run during that agent's lifecycle. Perfect for verification agents that need their own Stop hook to enforce output format, or research agents that need their own PreToolUse hook to block certain operations. Context forking for skills - use context: fork in skill frontmatter to run the skill in a forked sub-agent context, isolating its execution from your main conversation. Great for research/exploration skills that you want to keep separate from your primary work.

@antigravity Running into a blocking issue where I open a project and the agent cannot perform any actions, and replies with: `Please add this directory as a workspace folder in your IDE or editor. Once you have done so, I will be able to access the files and assist you.`

Claude Code can now ask you interactive questions when it needs more information or when there are multiple paths forward.

@RinodeBoer I think many many people that gave it a try a couple years ago, should 100% try again now that a lot of themes have built up good systems around it. I am biased but @KadenceWP is doing a phenomenal job on making the experience even better.

Yesterday I stumbled upon WordPress Full site editing and I am quite impressed so far. I didn’t know it got this close to a pagebuilder experience. And you get a lot more features for free than with traditional pagebuilders 🤯
