@WordPressWizard Perhaps the best learning is having worked in Enterprise? Not necessarily doing dev work. Appreciating and understanding the processes and politics.

Enterprise WordPress is really slept on imo. I haven’t seen any bootcamps or mentorship teaching it which makes me think most of the labor pool is in page builders and not the high-end custom work. I know I would of killed for some 1 on 1 guidance here in my early ears, highly considering filling the gap.

@Professor @photomatt It’s great when influencers align - @photomatt and @JoePulizzi should collab some way or another.

#StateOfTheWord covered a lot of different topics but if there was one underlining narrative that @photomatt and others covered it would be Own Your Influence. Walled gardens want to lock you into one view, one platform, one experience. The open web and data liberation all promote the importance of you owning your part of the internet. #ownyourinfluence

A forms plugin is just a framework for building forms. It's not really necessary. It's pretty easy to build your own form framework, especially since most forms are basic contact forms. Not to mention, you'll learn so much about forms when you build your own! ... ... ... ... See how patently dumb that sounds? If you're smart, you buy WS Form, install it, and stop entertaining this ridiculous "You can do it!" noise from people who don't pay your bills, feed your family, or help manage your projects.
