Sold during a panic once. Felt smart for exactly 11 days. Watched the recovery start without me and spent 3 months trying to find a re-entry that felt as comfortable as the one I'd abandoned. Never found it. Bought back higher, smaller position, less conviction. The tax bill was the least expensive part of that decision.
