100% agree… but there’s a lot of truth/power in Jon’s first statement if focused on the fact that all the earthly treasure in the world is meaningless compared not only to what awaits us in Heaven, but the fulfillment He gives in our earthly relationship (wife, family, etc) which is priceless.

As stone thrower myself at times, please read 1 John 8:7. You don’t know his personal relationship with his family, and you don’t know what is in his heart. I encourage you, as a believer, to remember that every sin is equal in God’s eyes, and none of us are worthy, nor will we ever be, regardless of our “works.” Like you, I spend all the time with my wife and kids, and I’m still messed up. I don’t believe that comparing yourself to others in any way is healthy. We have all done it, but as believers we have to remember we should only be comparing ourselves to Jesus. Which we all fall way short of. I find that focusing on someone’s strengths and the good they do is the best way to walk through life. Not that I’ve always done that. Like how Jesus treated the woman at the well, or Mary Magdalene, or Peter, or Paul. Like King David. God uses messed up people. Is God using Elon? Not sure but I think he uses all of us even if we don’t believe. Daniel 2:21

HOLY CRAP! Gavin Newsom and Hunter Biden had a video call discussing the possibility of running together on a presidential ticket. Newsom as president and Hunter as vice president. This is the best the Democrats have to offer: A corrupt governor who can’t read and ruined California. And a crack addict with pics of himself with prostitutes on his laptop. Meet your candidate for California governor: Xavier Becerra His core pitch for governor is experience. Fair enough. He has extensive experience being sidelined by colleagues, sitting adjacent to people doing work, and not accomplishing anything in 4 years as HHS Secretary. His do-nothing legacy is well aligned with the California tradition of governors who express concern over problems while getting absolutely nothing done. To be fair, he did do one thing at HHS himself - establish an "Office of Climate Change and Health Equity" because nothing says healthcare like ... climate policy? I am not entirely sure why HHS would have the authority to regulate anything with climate but Becerra is a creative guy! If you would like nothing about California to change, send an empty suit to Sacramento. Xavier Becerra is your man!

The great part of Kalif mentoring Zavion vs. another FA vet who Bears could have signed instead (theoretically) is that he played for Ben & Randle El in DET for more seasons than any other WR in the Bears WR room has so far. So while the Bears offense isn’t an exact replica of the Lions, the coaching points and familiar concepts means Zavion is hearing 100% consistency in the messages & support he’s getting from Kalif as the coaching staff. This is a great role for him & will be of great benefit to Zavion.
