Our front entrance is finally complete with water features. Now our guests can sit on my big deck, listening to the sound of trickling water and a crackling fire. Before picture from 7 years ago in the comments.

@LewisHamilton, if that’s how you feel, perhaps you should consider returning your British knighthood and leaving Monaco, where you currently live to avoid paying UK taxes. Also, please relinquish your British citizenship. Maybe you’d prefer living somewhere like Africa instead. I’m sure the @MYANC could find somewhere for you, since they seem to appreciate wealthy figures who like to present themselves as more important, than they are. But, please be prepared to hand over at least 80% of your income in some form of tax, as South Africa is one of the highest taxed countries in the world.
Basil the Great@BasilTheGreat

🚨BREAKING: LEWIS HAMILTON SAYS HE WANTS AFRICANS TO TAKE BACK AFRICA AND KICK OUT EUROPEANS Sorry... WHAT? So it's RACIST if British people say we want to take Britain back for us but it's absolutely fine to say Africa for Africans

I have to give a shout out to @TAKEALOT no BS return policies. I've had the worst luck with my DJI Osmo Action 6. The first one arrived with a torn o-ring around the lens, nulifying it's water resistance. They replaced it no questions asked. The replacement had a messed-up battery door. Those familiar with them know how small those hinges are. I'm not convinced DJI put out a good product in the Action 6, and the fact that aftermarket options aren't available for these parts locally, and the local support for their products takes 2 months for repairs, I wasn't going to wait that long, so I sent it back too. Zero questions. No hassles. Replacement sent. They take a lot s**t, but credit where it's due and their no BS return poilicies is why I continue to support them. Kudos.

❗️❗️Lex Libertas & New York Young Republican Club (NYYRC) Joint Media Statement FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – 27 FEBRUARY 2026 Lex Libertas and NYYRC Announce International Action Plan Following South Africa Visit Centurion, South Africa – Following an intensive week of engagements in South Africa, Lex Libertas and the New York Young Republican Club (NYYRC) today announced a coordinated international action plan aimed at bringing South Africa’s crisis to the attention of the United States government and the broader Western world. While in South Africa, the NYYRC delegation met with victims of farm attacks, persons excluded by racially discriminatory legislation, business leaders, and community institutions. These engagements have informed a structured programme of follow-up action to be implemented in the United States. The first component is the launch of an international petition calling on the United States to appoint a special envoy dedicated to engaging with the Afrikaner community and other cultural minorities in South Africa, and to recognise the pursuit of self-governance as a legitimate and peaceful solution. The goal is to secure at least 100,000 signatories before formally submitting the petition to the President of the United States, the U.S. State Department, and the White House. Secondly, Lex Libertas and the NYYRC intend to host a public vigil in Washington, D.C., where 3,000 white crosses will be displayed on the National Mall to commemorate victims of farm attacks. Following this event, the petition will be formally handed over to the U.S. administration. Thirdly, Lex Libertas plans to host a conference in Washington, D.C., where victims of farm attacks, racial exclusion, and state failure in South Africa will share their testimonies directly with American audiences and policymakers. In addition, a formal request will be submitted to the U.S. Congress to convene a public hearing on South Africa and structural policy solutions. Stefano Forte, President of the NYYRC, said: “We came to South Africa on a fact-finding mission to see the reality for ourselves, not rely on media propaganda. We have found that Afrikaners and other ethnic minorities are facing serious insecurity and growing hostility with little protection from their own government. These are a people with deep civilizational ties to the West, and their situation demands the attention of the American government. We have pulled back the curtain — now Washington must pay attention.” Dr Ernst Roets, Executive Director of Lex Libertas, said: “What the NYYRC has observed in South Africa is not new. It has been an ongoing and worsening crisis for several decades. It is an ongoing, worsening crisis that has been deliberately ignored and denied by a detached political elite. While ordinary people face violent crime, racial discrimination, and state collapse, those in power protect their positions and protect a failing system. If those in power will not confront this crisis, then the people will — and we will take that message to the world.” To make these initiatives possible, Lex Libertas and the NYYRC have launched a fundraising campaign with a target of $50,000. Supporters can sponsor one of the 3,000 white crosses for $15 per cross. The organisations encourage supporters to sign the petition and contribute financially to help bring this campaign to Washington in the Fall of 2026.

Glad to see common sense prevail. Political discomfort alone is not a reason to censor lawful advertising. 👍 Lawfully armed citizens are vetted, trained, and licensed. They are not the problem, they are often part of the solution. In communities where criminals ignore the law, responsible self-defence matters. Brands like Canik advertising legally should not be controversial. It reinforces responsibility, legality, and the simple truth that legal firearm owners are assets, not threats. More of this please. Ian C. PS: the Canik Prime is a beaut!😉 bizcommunity.com/article/politi…

A High Court judgment delivered on 2 February 2026 has now confirmed, in black and white, that the Central Firearms Registry has been acting unlawfully. This is no longer a complaint from gun owners or dealers. It is a court finding. The Marksman Arms judgment is critical because it exposes systemic abuse of power inside the CFR, not minor administrative error. The court found that firearm and dealer licence applications were unlawfully delayed, obstructed and effectively refused without any authority in the Firearms Control Act. At the centre of this failure sits Brigadier Sikhakhane, the head of the Central Firearms Registry. The judgment makes it clear that the unlawful conduct complained of occurred under her leadership and authority. This includes shifting requirements, invented criteria, endless delays and decisions taken without procedural fairness. That is not lawful administration. It is institutional incompetence. The court explicitly rejected CFR’s standard defence of “capacity constraints” and backlogs. The law does not bend because CFR cannot manage itself. Administrative incapacity is not a lawful excuse for violating citizens’ rights. If the CFR is dysfunctional, that failure rests squarely with its leadership. When a High Court has to remind the head of a national registry that public officials may only exercise powers granted by Parliament, it is an indictment of both competence and attitude. This is not caution or public safety. It is useless governance. The real-world consequence is dangerous. Law-abiding South Africans who comply with training, background checks, renewals and safe storage are systematically disadvantaged. Criminals, meanwhile, face no CFR forms, no refusals and no delays. They continue to acquire and use illicit firearms freely, through gangs, corruption and organised crime networks that CFR has shown no ability to disrupt. The result is a system that punishes compliance while criminals do as they please. This judgment draws a clear line. Under Brigadier Sikhakhane’s leadership, the CFR has drifted into policy-making by obstruction, something it has no constitutional mandate to do. Public safety cannot be achieved by quietly sabotaging legislation through unlawful administration. We will soon officially have to zoom in on the Central Firearms Registry, its leadership, its decision-making processes and its compliance with the Firearms Control Act and PAJA. Court findings of this seriousness demand oversight, consequences and reform. You do not build safety by disarming the compliant while criminals remain armed. That is not gun control. That is governance failure. IC

Most definitely, my friend. It is simply logical. The same thing happened with trucks. When I purchased so many FAW 500 T trucks and the price of manganese dropped below R500 per ton, my trucks had only 50,000 km on them. I had bought them in cash. The dealer could not give me even half of what they were worth in prime condition. As a result, I lost more than 60 percent of their value in just three and a half months. What a fuc—-king disgrace. Fortunately, someone who transports goods in Africa bought the entire fleet. Even so, I still lost approximately R400,000 per truck. The same applies to these cheap kak vehicles.
