This week we are celebrating 40 years since the publication of @RaymondBenson's James Bond Bedside Companion. As you can see, our copies have been thoroughly enjoyed!

@TheWizardOfIce @hangonjames1967 Totes agree. @RaymondBenson is the most contemporary literary and film anslysis in one volume. Though ending in 1988, the basic overview still resonates.

@hangonjames1967 @ACEtoots Some Kind Of Hero is a great book to be sure but Benson goes into way more depth on Fleming’s actual character and the books. And being out of date a somewhat unfair metric as my copy of SKOH doesn’t include NTTD so therefore it has to be tarred with the same brush.

THE definitive reference book on Bond. Simply tremendous, and you know if I’m saying that it’s true because unlike many of accounts on #BondTwitter I don’t endorse stuff unless it’s good. If you haven’t got a copy lads then get yourselves on Amazon sharpish.
