@camptown_races0 I don’t think I really got it when I was a kid watching the films for the first time but 3 is the one that has been growing on me more and more over the years. It’s very different from the others and Perkins makes some very quirky choices but I kinda like it a lot for that now!

An eclectic new arrival of blu rays! (The Casino Royale blu is a double dip as this one contains the original 1954 television adaptation of CR that the original UK blu didn’t have as well as an extra featurette)

@JsPorter1966 For all the problems with Casino Royale, the poster art is certainly not one of them! Love that they've used that particular illustration for the cover. Much better than the old VHS...

@calvindyson Yes - I was deeply impressed with that BD….. look at the cover carefully and you can see Robert McGinnis was a bit cheeky with his repainted version

@streetrw I now have the VHS, DVD and two separate editions on blu ray and it's certainly not something I'm proud of 😂 more a symptom of my fan-derangement

@calvindyson It's saying something that out of these two movies Alice in Wonderland has the saner ending.

@MenkoMonty There's a snippet of docu-drama about it in the Peter Sellers biopic starring Geoffrey Rush but it's a very small piece of the overall film and I agree it'd be great to see something more expansive given all that went on behind the scenes!

@calvindyson I would love to see a docu-drama on the production of 67 Casino Royale. It would be interesting as we may never know what's fact and what's fiction.

@TimStylesActor HA! ohhh very good. And yeah it's odd that the very ending is still missing from these home media releases. I believe it's on YouTube still but not the best viewing experience to finish a blu ray and then have to boot up YouTube to get the full experience 🤣

@calvindyson The only downside is that the on disc version of Casino Royale 1954 is bizarrely missing the ending, which ironically also makes it an anti-Climax!

@T_FUTURIST I had the vhs too way back when! I can't think of another film I'm not especially fond of that I've ended up religiously buying every time a new release happens 🤣 just to wait for the 4K release now...

@calvindyson Triple dipped with CR '67. DVD then upgraded to Blu-ray and the went further with the edition you have. Also, have hte CD.

@Dizzydennis Thanks for this, Dennis. Love that the film has an important place in your heart through your shared love of it with your grandmother. I haven't seen it yet & got it because CR was in a multibuy offer but I'm looking forward to seeing it! More so now after reading your praise!

@calvindyson Calvin, Angels With Dirty Faces is one of my all-time favorite movies. My grandmother and I always discussed it, especially with what Cagney does in the climax. The final day I was with her when she was alive, we watched it. It's a very special film and I'm glad you like it.

@ghoulbasement Agreed. I’ve only experienced the issue twice in 25 years of disc collecting. Funnily enough BOTH times were on my Blu’s of The Exorcist. Had to replace my original copy and then the same thing happened to the replacement.. either a manufacturing error or a message from beyond 😅

The boogeyman of "disc rot" doesn't outweigh the positives of physical media. Don't be that gullible.

Scott and Cam are doing Bond fans a huge service with interviews like this and they’re both such pros at it. They’ve really gotten so many great anecdotes and gems of detail out of their interviewees over the years. Long Live Spy Hards! 🍸

In happier news, I finally listened to this interview from the great @SpyHards today and it’s incredible. Essential listening for fans of the film and Brosnan’s era. My mouth was involuntarily agape at a few points at some of the stories Michel shares about the making of TND!
