The road service workers, Jorge Linares and Luis Rigoberto Amaya, gained popularity on Instagram for their viral dancing videos in front of their tire shop. I had SO much fun last night, I completely forgot to take as many selfies as I usually do😅 Lets have a chat, hockey has long been treated as a white/male dominated sport. So as a WOMAN, a Salvadoran woman, and huge hockey fanatic, it means so much to me to be seen and welcomed. Being able to show my culture to those who aren’t usually exposed to it, is what it’s all about to me. Whenever I get asked “where are you from?” at hockey games, I get so excited to talk about my pulgarcito. All I want for the hockey community is to be more inclusive, to Salvadorans, as well as many other Central American countries!!!!! Thank you all who showed up, I had a great pleasure speaking to you all, taking selfies, and partying it up. We really are making a difference not only to the hockey community, but also to the youth in El Salvador. Thank you @AFJAES for all of the hard work you put in. You never ask for anything in return, you do what you do just because you want to give back to the community and that’s inspiring. You inspire me. Thank you @NYIslanders for making this possible!!! Exactly 25 years ago today, I scored my first — and only — professional goal. Contrary to what I believed at the time, goalkeepers are not allowed to handle the ball in both penalty areas. The goal was disallowed and I was sent off — still it earned me legendary status. 😉 #otd
