Abused Muslims, when stopped, killed the elderly man.
On March 1, a 65-year-old Muslim elderly man, Abdul Salam, was allegedly beaten to death in Darbhanga, Bihar. According to family members, the incident began when a neighboring woman was hurling communal abuses against Muslims, which Abdul Salam objected to. It is alleged that following this, members of the accused family attacked him with iron rods, leading to his death on the spot. The family states that Abdul Salam was on his way to the shop while observing a fast and had no personal dispute with anyone. They have demanded the arrest of all the accused and strict action against them.
