@mikesbloggity @yycARTS As a non-profit, whatever we made is likely going back into holding free events, like a National Indigenous Peoples Day concert and panel, or our window galleries, which regularly feature non-binary artists. It goes into a pot for public programming, so some good will come

@mikesbloggity @yycARTS I do think it's worth it to talk about him though. Peacefully protest. You can cancel Peterson and his base will use it as fuel, or you have their attention, and hopefully those who object to Peterson can use it as an opportunity to educate the other side.

@mikesbloggity @yycARTS Sure, I can totally get that. I can't speak for others in my organization, but I'm confident many (like me) would disagree profoundly with Peterson's outlook. While we didn't seek him out though, we can't silence one group just because we disagree - whether right or left.

@mikesbloggity @yycARTS Hey Mike! Arts Commons isn't actually making money off ticket sales, Live Nation is. We just made our standard rental fee. We didn't program Peterson, nor does he necessarily represent the organizations values, but we can't go out of our way to silence an opposing voice.
