At lunch with my family today after church I ran into my longtime friend US Congressman @chiproytx out with his wonderful family-I was their pastor for over 20 years- great people-I performed their wedding, prayed with them through his cancer/campaigns, etc-I thank God for them

Being a dad is the best job I've ever had, & I'm grateful for my four monkeys that give me the title everyday.
To watch these children grow physically, mentally, and faithfully strong.
To answer their questions, offer them guidance, and share with them what my father shared with me.
To let them struggle, fail, refocus, and ultimately overcome.
To smile and laugh with them, hurt with them, and love them without end.
For me, it has been beyond a dream come true for the last 16 years.
It is why I am on my knees today, thanking God for the life He has given me. To all the dads out there, Happy Father’s Day!

Go out and do things.
When I was very little my dad would take us to rodeos, car shows, festivals, concerts - whatever was happening. He’s an avid learner and I am the same way. I love to know and experience things - diverse and interesting things - and hate to sit still.
He’s also a perpetual entrepreneur, which I wasn’t old enough to learn from directly but I definitely got from him.
