@BenCAugustine I even had a blanket statement that said “Worked 40h/week unless otherwise stated”. Didn’t matter. I got HR involved at the USFWS hiring manager and there was nothing they could do. Sorry that happened to you, that really sucks.

@BenCAugustine I had the same thing happen to me, but was for a USFWS job. They said the only employment they could verify was from my current SF50, 9 months into a GS12 postdoc Job I was applying for was a GS12, but I needed 1 yr of experience, therefore, I wasn’t qualified. Complete BS

@liberationastro Two of mine were-- has a close close friends/reliable support network (this was surprisingly rare). Love or at least tolerates dogs.

My homework from my therapist was to come up with a list of 5 non negotiables for my future partner. So far I have political alignment, loves to travel/easy to travel with, and I'm therapy or engaged in some kind of reflection practice. What are some of yours?

Big life update. As of February, I'll be a Research Assistant Professor @ClemsonUniv and the Science Coordinator for the National Bobwhite amd Grassland Initiative. Can't wait to build my research program focusing on Northern Bobwhite, grassland #birds, and grasslands!
