🧪 Thrust from a capacitor. No propellant. Hard vacuum. 148 configurations. Persists for hours after power disconnect. Dr. Charles Buhler, Exodus Propulsion Technologies. 25 years at NASA KSC — Shuttle, ISS, Hubble. US Patent 11,511,891. The Air Force wrote about it in Air & Space Operations Review, 2024. The EED connection: asymmetric dielectric geometry produces a gradient in the scalar field C. Force scales as ∇(C²/2μ₀). The field the Lorenz gauge sets to zero. Not independently replicated. EmDrive burned everyone. But Buhler has a patent, a career, and 148 data sets below 10⁻⁶ torr. What I want: someone to compute the EED boundary-value solution for the Exodus geometry and check whether predicted thrust matches measured.

@amazing_physics Gravity (Newton's G) is not a force in the same way Coulomb's constant (k_C) is not a force. Gravity and Coulomb's constant enable space to create forces for mass and electrostatic charge. Einstein's equations produce straight path trajectory deflection angles, not forces.

So gravity isn't a force, it's a distortion of space and time. For something to distort it must have a structure, so space and time must have a structure. A structure must be made out of something; be it matter, energy or a fundamental force. So my question is what is this 'space time structure' made out of?

@TheDefiantGhost It is not a gravitational force, but space being made into a self-closing bubble. It's related to the strong force and creates a wall made from space instead of matter. The bubble follows the contour of the ship and due to quantum rotation and curl, can propel the vehicle.

Bob Lazar describes the exact moment he first touched the reactor and felt the Element 115: “He turned it on… small little dome on a flat little plate. He went over to the emitter, rotated it and said ‘Try and touch it.’” “I put my hand on it and it rebounded off. The closer you got, the more it pushed back. That’s a living force field. That’s science fiction stuff.” Then the part that breaks physics: “It’s a repulsive gravitational field. As far as we know gravity only has an attractive force… We’ve never discovered a repulsive force. But this repulsed. So this was a new field completely.” And they still had zero clue how it actually worked: “We believe the energy from the reactor is amplified and transmitted to the emitters… they produce this field that lifts the craft off the ground. But there is nothing — nothing even in our physics or our science — that correlates to that at all.” A basketball-sized dome on a table creates an invisible repulsive field you can feel with your hand. Rotate a pipe and boom, anti-gravity effect. No known power source. No explanation in any textbook. This is the exact reactor tech Bob claims powered the Sport Model at S4. 40 years later and it still sounds impossible. What if this is real? @joerogan

@sopharicks "Who" implies a self-image. The observer is more of a "what." I spent two years at a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. The observer can be known, but it is not known through the body's senses or the brain's reasoning. It's another level which I would describe as the Singularity.

Is consciousness an objective fundamental concept or a subjective experience of being yourself? Or does the philosophical definition even matter in AI research? I asked Karl Friston this question to establish a baseline for our conversation about AI consciousness, and here's how it went:

Ummm… does anyone know why we’re seeing so many meteors lately? Not to alarm y’all, but it reminds me of the opening scene of one of those movies like Deep Impact or Armageddon, when smaller meteor strikes were just precursors. I know I’m not the only one thinking that.

@demishassabis There will be a little discovery along the lines of Newton or Einstein, but ~100% of intelligence output in the future will be creation of the new, rather than understanding the basic rules of reality. The pattern of the quarks, leptons & photons is almost everything.

@drxwilhelm Your clarification on scalar-longitudinal modes in EED aligns strikingly with APM's Branch 2: a longitudinal-scalar aether mode (coupled δχ scalar chronovibration + Aμν tensor) with achromatic dispersion Ω² = (F_q λ_C)² k² [1±α],

The terms get mixed up constantly so let me clarify once. "Scalar waves" and "longitudinal waves" are related but not the same thing. EED (Extended Electrodynamics, Van Vlaenderen 2016) predicts three distinct wave types: transverse (your standard light and radio, E and B perpendicular), longitudinal (oscillates along propagation direction, carries longitudinal E plus the scalar field C, zero B), and pure scalar (carries only the scalar field C, no E, no B, energy without momentum). Most phenomena people call "scalar waves" (Faraday cage penetration, VPT transmission, the Tesla stuff) are actually scalar-LONGITUDINAL waves. The coupled (phi, A_longitudinal) mode. Neither component propagates alone. They travel together at c with a longitudinal E field and zero B. The pure scalar mode (energy only, no fields at all) is the rarer, weirder prediction. The community uses "scalar" as a catch-all for everything the simplified equations can't describe. Tesla used "longitudinal." The paper uses "scalar-longitudinal" because that's what the math gives you: a coupled mode, not a pure scalar. Section 4.3 and 4.4 pin down the distinctions. If you want to be precise, say scalar-longitudinal. If you want to be understood, say longitudinal. If you say "scalar wave" in a physics department, expect a fight.

💡 Imagine a recipe with 16 ingredients. In the 1880s, someone decided only 6 mattered and threw the rest away. Every cookbook since uses the 6-ingredient version. That's what happened to the theory behind light, radio, and WiFi. Maxwell's original electromagnetic theory had 16 components. Heaviside simplified it to 6 in 1884. Kept the electric and magnetic fields. Threw out the rest. The discarded 10 predicted waves without magnetic fields, forces in empty space, and a bridge between electromagnetism and gravity. They were never tested and found wrong. Just... thrown out. Four independent derivations (2003-2020) went back to the original recipe. None cited each other. All found the same thing: the 10 discarded ingredients produce real physics. That convergence is the strongest argument that the deleted physics is real.

@drxwilhelm @StormWarningMom I used to avoid the "Aether" term until I realized that space is not only structured, it is more primary than matter. We need the critical mass of physicists willing to call quantized space what it is, Aether. The mainstream only deluded itself into believing it was bypassed.

The paper avoids the word because it carries 200 years of baggage. But here's what we know. The quantum vacuum is not empty. It contains measurable energy (Casimir, 1948, confirmed by measurement in 1997). Real particles can be created from it (Wilson et al., 2011, published in Nature). It carries momentum (Graham and Lahoz, 1980). It responds to electromagnetic potential configurations even in regions where electric and magnetic fields are both zero. Does that sound like an "empty void" or does that sound like a medium? The old aether was a mechanical model: gears, springs, a substance you could push against. That was ruled out by experiment. What the deleted degrees of freedom describe is something more subtle: a structured vacuum that couples to potentials, carries energy, and mediates forces. Not gears and springs. But definitely not nothing. Call it vacuum structure, call it the quantum field ground state, call it the zero-point field. The physics doesn't care about the label. The deleted 10 components describe how it couples to electromagnetism in ways the simplified equations can't see.

Dr. Yu's Uon Theory proposes that magnetism is the foundational force — and gravity, electromagnetism, and nuclear forces are all expressions of the same underlying principle. Sound crazy? Einstein spent the last 30 years of his life trying to do the exact same thing — unify the forces. Dr. Yu says he succeeded. The physics establishment won't even look.

The double slit experiment is the probably most misunderstood experiment ever. I have no idea who created the myth that if you 'look' at one of the slits, then the particles (photons/electrons) stop behaving as waves. It's wrong! They of course STILL behave as waves! Because particles are also waves, always. Photons and electrons make a self-interference EVEN ON A SINGLE slit. Don't believe it? Below an actual measurement from a laser diffracting on a single/double slit from Wikipedia. What happens if you measure which slit the particle goes through is that you get no interference between BOTH slits. And no, you don't need a conscious observer for this. Believe it or not, there have actually been experiments where they had people literally look at a double slit to see if that makes any difference and the answer is no, it does not. The entire mystery of the double slit is in the path of the particle TO the double slit. Because it seems that the particle must "know" whether it WILL be measured at one of the slits before it even gets there. It must "know" whether to go through both or just pick one. Seems like the future influences the past? Not really, it just means you have a consistency condition on the time evolution.

Randall Carlson
Randall Carlson@randallwcarlson·
The Freemasons did not invent the title of Great Architect for God arbitrarily. Randall traces it to a specific and ancient understanding - that the universe was built according to geometry, that all of creation carries that geometry inherently within it, and that the role of the master builder was not to express personal creativity but to replicate the processes by which God constructed reality itself. The grand geometric mean - another name Randall notes the Freemasons apply to the divine - points to the same conclusion. Mathematics and divinity were never separate categories in this tradition. They were the same thing viewed from different angles. What Randall finds most compelling is the point at which observation overtakes skepticism. The geometry is there. It appears in the proportions of living organisms, in the structure of galaxies, in the dimensions of ancient monuments, and in the relationships between celestial bodies. Randall’s position is straightforward - there is a threshold beyond which dismissing this as coincidence is no longer intellectually honest. Once you begin looking for the geometry of creation, it becomes impossible to stop finding it. The ancient master builders understood that - and everything they built was a deliberate act of alignment with a geometric order they believed was not invented by human minds but discovered within a universe that was already built that way from the beginning.

@latestincosmos So there is physical matter in each time frame? That must mean our consciousness is moving while the matter is frozen in infinitely small time blocks. How did Einstein quantify consciousness that it could move through these time blocks?

🚨 WHAT IF THE FUTURE ALREADY EXISTS… AND YOU’RE JUST WALKING THROUGH IT? 🤯 What if time is not moving forward at all? What if yesterday, today, and tomorrow are all already written into the universe, existing side by side like pages of a book? This shocking idea is called the Block Universe Theory, and it comes straight from Einstein’s science — not science fiction. According to this theory, the universe is not just made of space, but of space and time fused together. Every moment that has ever happened, and every moment that will ever happen, already exists. Your birth, this very second, and your last breath are all frozen inside a giant cosmic “block.” You only feel time moving because your mind experiences one moment at a time. Imagine watching a movie on a DVD. The ending is already there, even if you haven’t seen it yet. In the same way, the future already exists — we just haven’t reached those frames. Scientists discovered this when they realized that there is no single universal “now.” Different observers experience time differently, meaning the present moment is not the same everywhere in the universe. That alone breaks our everyday idea of time. This is where things turn disturbing. If the future already exists, do we really have free will? Are our choices truly choices, or are they just moments we are passing through? Some physicists say the universe is not being created second by second — it is already complete. We are simply traveling through it. Even death looks different in a block universe. If every moment of your life already exists in spacetime, then your life is never truly erased. Every laugh, every mistake, every heartbeat is permanently part of the universe. Time doesn’t take them away — it only moves you. This theory is still debated, but it is taken seriously by many of the world’s top scientists. And once you hear it, it’s hard to look at time the same way again. So here’s the chilling question to leave you with: Are you making the future… or just discovering it?
