Father, you promised to deliver me from the snare of the trapper, and deliver me from all deadly diseases. You promised that I would be covered by your feathers. So do it, as I seek refuge under Your wings. Father, your faithfulness is my shield and bulwark, anointed of God. I shall trample down the young lion and the serpent because I know your name (and the authority behind it), and the fact that I love you. You promised to deliver me; so set me securely on high because I know your name. Father I call on you because you promised you would answer. Be with me in trouble, as you have promised. Rescue and honor me, Father, according to your word. Satisfy me Lord with a long life, and let me see your salvation. Amen.

ROMANS 1:18 AMP (including 18-19) For [God does not overlook sin and] the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who in their wickedness suppress and stifle the truth, because that which is known about God is evident within them [in their inner consciousness], for God made it evident to them. Good rainy morning from Arlington National Cemetery. Specifically, the final resting place of your hero husband Staff Sgt. Alan Shaw. His grave now has some fresh roses placed in front of it, alongside two American flags, a reminder that Americans truly appreciate his sacrifice. God bless you and your family on this Memorial Day 🙏🏻🇺🇸

Our first annual Lange Memorial Day BBQ was a great success. Great turnout. Scrambled to come up with extra chairs. Our neighbor Brian to the rescue! I cooked up five racks of ribs. I cheated. I called them my “Martha’s Vineyard style BBQ ribs,” because I cooked them all for an hour and 45 minutes in the oven, before throwing them on the BBQ for about ten minutes on each side. But they are easy that way and turned out great. My wife made her famous burgers and an apple, bourbon, bacon, bbq baked bean recipe on the smoker. They turned out to be a big hit. But everything she does is a hit. My wife’s uncle brought smoked pork steaks that were excellent and everyone brought a bunch of sides. Good music. Great laughs and a nice cornhole tournament that I happened to win. But I’m a ringer.😉 Lots of Marines in attendance and my dad was a Marine. My mom visiting us this past week, really made me miss my dad. He was a gift from God. My Substack article from a while back on my dad: open.substack.com/pub/joelange/p… Me and my wife were working hard since daybreak to get this get together done. But the “moment” that was special, was to stop and thank God for the moment before we feasted, with family and friends. The joy in my wife, was a huge deal. These events are what my wife envisioned, when she first put a bid in for this property. It has been a long hard road, to get this house built and be able to have the opportunity to share our love, through food and hospitality, to those we love….I know my wife’s heart is full. That makes me happy. Blessed far more than I deserve. That’s my dad. Love and miss him.

We have an incredibly sad situation evolving at a Culver’s in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, this evening. It is unknown if this is weather-related, but what appears to be a box of Culver’s fries has suffered a devastating direct impact in the parking lot after recent rainfall. Fries are scattered across the wet pavement, with the ButterBurger community anxiously awaiting further updates. Our thoughts are with the cheese curds during this difficult time. @WeatherKannon @WxFront
