Today in (live virtual) class a student commented that I could start a stand-up comedy Netflix series. I feel like I should retire now because I can’t imagine a better compliment. Finally someone thinks I am as funny as I think I am!

We're hiring for a TON of positions at The Hustle. In doing so, I'm re-evaluating our hiring process. What's the best blog post or resource that explains great hiring process at small companies?

@CBCNews Came to Toronto from Gatwick on a flight currently not on the list but was appalled by the response from their staff when I told her that I prefer she did not touch my passport. I wiped my passport and then again when the same staff repeated that at boarding. #sharedresponsibilty

Let’s be clear, privacy & security of patient data are critical but locking patient data in silos isn’t the answer. Patients have a right to access THEIR data to make life saving decisions. Info blocking & locking up data in an attempt to monetize patient health & safety are over

SCOOP: Here are the hospitals that signed a letter with Epic to oppose the HHS information blocking rules. @CNBC obtained a copy, which features about 60 hospitals. Big tech, like Microsoft and Apple, have taken a very different view: cnbc.com/2020/02/05/epi…

@picardonhealth We haven't even started to scratch the surface of social determinants of health and having this attitude is not going to help as we shift our focus from acute to chronic health management. We have done better than some but have lots to learn from others #healthcaretransformation

I've never subscribed to the 'at least we're better than the criminally bad U.S. system' way of thinking. Canada should aspire to deliver health care/social services in a manner that is universal, efficient and fair by learning from countries like Denmark, The Netherlands, etc.
Paul D. Thacker@thackerpd

@picardonhealth @msainat1 @GuardianUS Remember this story, @picardonhealth, every time someone complains that Canada has a terrible healthcare system. It's much worse when you go South.

@picardonhealth The normalization of this standard in healthcare delivery is preventing a meaningful conversation about patient safety and health reforms.

"Private exams on stretchers in hallways, patients languishing without attention for hours, nurses stretched to the breaking point; all of it has become business as usual...I think about what I will learn that these people need, and about what I will fail to provide."

Data security should not be an afterthought but an integral part of system design. It's incidents like these that hinder the ability of patients to participate in their health records! #patientsafety #datasecurity

@andreasereda Spend time with the patients to understand their true motivation to be in the program. Unmotivated patients is the reason for the low success of current harm reduction strategies.

@picardonhealth The system need to adapt to allows for patients to seamlessly access care at the best access point instead of making them feel guilty for accessing it when required. The users only follow the rules and incentives we have set for them. And yes patients are customers too!

Family member went to emergency late last night with acute stomach pain. First words spoken at triage: "You really shouldn't come to the ER on Monday. We're busy!" What kind of idiocy (never mind customer service) is this? #CanadaWAITS
