@UnbiasedBrim1 Even the move for Burries over Alijah Arenas, who ended up at USC, bothered a lot of AZ fans at the time b/c Arenas's dad is an Arizona legend. But Burries gets downhill into the lane, and when he shoots J's they're controlled. Arenas is more athletic but he's a fadeaway guy. (3)

@UnbiasedBrim1 You can look at how he recruits. They let 7-foot Henri Veesaar go last yr to prioritize Krivas, who's less skilled but more dominant in the low post. Recruited Peat instead of Dybantsa or Cenac who shoot better from perimeter but aren't as physical. (2)

@jasonscheer I think that benefits Arizona. The interior finishing and midrange will be helped more by soft rims than the 3s will, and Az obviously shoots more 2s and fewer 3s than Ark. It really stuck out to me in the 1st round that the rims were unforgiving and it seems to hurt the 'Cats.

Early observation: These are the softest rims in basketball history.

@jasonscheer Kipp has seemed like the second worst ref for Arizona that I've seen this worse, but he's still not in the same class with Padilla. So I suppose I can't complain too much.

Kip Kissinger, Lee Cassell, Steve Anderson are the refs. Kissinger has done multiple Arizona games, including the Big 12 title game. Cassell did Arizona at Baylor. Anderson did Arizona against SDSU

@brycejallday "Big Pig Aidsap" is not a journalist, sweetheart. Just block and report. Whether Lloyd will end up at UNC I can't tell you, but he won't be disrespecting his players like that on the biggest game day of the year. If he did, it'd be a red flag for future employers anyway.

I would be pretty surprised if Tommy Lloyd isn’t the coach at Arizona next season. Some common sense things have to happen but I don’t believe he has any real desire to leave #BacktheA

@JustFly_Jones @ironmikeluke You can look at the Kalshi history, it was never that high. At 11 AM AZ time yesterday (he posted 11:22) it was 9.6%. It was shortly after his post that it started climbing. It peaked at 30.5% about 7pm AZ time y'day. Now 24.7%.

Soon all were. He'd posted dozens. The last said big news coming, as if deal was done. Then someone said he should be sued for defamation & he deleted all evidence!

@Aaronthewild @AlexRiveraCBB He never said it wouldn't resume being a powerhouse. I know as fans it's natural to be defensive about our coach, but no need to put words in his mouth. What he said was that Lloyd feels they don't have full AD backing.

@AlexRiveraCBB Arizona was a powerhouse for years before Tommy ever became HC. It will resume being one if he leaves. The fact that you dont know that diminishes your credibility.

Tommy Lloyd. Elite coach, comes from a big-time program, isn't ancient (51), a Mark Few (aka Roy's best friend in coaching) disciple, etc. Not sure if he'd leave the West Coast and that $11m buyout is STEEP, but he's my #1 choice for the #UNC job rn.
