It’s become painfully clear to me that Canada is one of the most corrupt countries in the world, run by one of the most corrupt governments in the world. I’m no longer a proud Canadian. Maybe it’s time for me to finally go sign the separation petition. I wasn’t going to but….

We’re getting to a place in Canada where elections really don’t seem to matter. The Liberals constantly stack the deck w/new Liberal voters. MP’s literally move to the political enemy of those who voted them in. The country is actually dying. And the best are leaving.

Mark Carney is seizing a costly Liberal majority that voters denied him, and doing so through backroom deals. In January, MP Gladu said that floor crossers should face voters in a byelection to give voters the final say. I could not agree more. She should do so. The people in her community voted for our Conservative vision of a Canada that is affordable, safe, and strong at home, not for the costly Liberal government she has now joined. She should honour her word and let voters decide.

I appreciate those Liberals who are celebrating Gladu’s defection right now because in true “race to the bottom” form they have been exposed as having even fewer principles than she does.

.@MarkJCarney expressed no qualms with @altotrain hiring wife of @FPChampagne. Appointment was not made public by cabinet. “Minister of Finance followed those rules & regulations with notification of Ethics Commissioner in recusing himself.” No such recusal appears in finance minister’s #ethics filings.

This floor crossing BS is out of control. If MPs in this country can just change parties whenever they want, then voters truly have no control over who becomes prime minister and runs our government. The whole Canadian system is based on the premise that parties MATTER.
Mark Carney@MarkJCarney

At this important moment for our country’s future, Canadians with a broad range of experience and perspectives are uniting to build Canada strong. I am honoured to welcome Marilyn Gladu today as the newest member of this government and our Liberal caucus. In a time of global economic uncertainty, Canada’s success will depend on how we build ambition into progress and strengths into sustained advantage. Marilyn brings the practical, results-driven leadership this effort demands. Having spent decades of her career in engineering and international business, she understands what it takes to create good jobs, strengthen supply chains, and ensure Canadian industry can compete in a rapidly changing global economy. She has been elected by the people of Sarnia—Lambton–Bkejwanong in four straight elections since 2015, and repeatedly earned recognition from colleagues across Parliament for her proven willingness to work constructively across party lines. I’m looking forward to working closely with Marilyn to build a stronger and more independent Canadian economy, meeting the challenges of a changing world with lasting opportunities for all.

Eleven Iranians were hanged last week. You heard me correct they were hanged in 21st-century for demanding freedom. I’m grateful to @bariweiss, @jaketapper, and @marthamaccallum for giving me the platform to name them. I hope a responsible media must bring their stories and their faces to the front pages. A ceasefire does not mean peace in Iran. The Islamic Republic’s war against its innocent civilians continues, with hundreds still on death row. I call on international community to help save their lives.💔 #StopExecutionsInIran #DigitalBlackoutInIran

There is no real ceasefire inside Iran. This is Mohseni Ejei, the head of the judiciary. He has ordered courts to accelerate execution sentences, especially for protesters. Hundreds of professors are on the death row, waiting to be hanged. Do not stop talking about Iran.

Provinces need to stop being pushovers by letting the feds dictate university hiring policy. This is a matter of provincial jurisdiction. Ban this practice and fund your own research chairs that are actually based on merit. There, done.

.@MarkJCarney dismisses questions regarding finance minister @FPChampagne’s personal involvement in promoting rail corporation that hired his wife as vice-president. It’s a “good situation” when cabinet ministers’ spouses can enjoy their own careers. blacklocks.ca/pm-praises-cab… #cdnpoli

@AmazingZoltan Well, Alex. When you have government funded media ONLY attacking the Opposition, it would appear that way. But it isn't. The Carney Liberals control the tax payer purse strings with endless amount of money to buy anyone and are finding the weakest links. That isn't democracy.

Imagine your daughter is dating some skeezy sack of garbage that she thinks is a misunderstood poet. It's thus fantastic news for you when she inevitably catches him cheating and calls you crying. And that's the best spin I can put on our extremely corrupt federal government.
