I got a coinbase account in 2014 as a freshman in college to get the $100 in bitcoin that MIT gave us for free. Crazy to think we're now parterning with this giant!

@TenreiroDaniel Few people appreciate how dominate White Iverson / My Way (Fetty Wap) combo was in summer 15'

@cpoetzscher Stuff like this really makes you wonder if anyone’s actually reviewing or checking for “quality” - you are welcome to make whatever argument you want, but let’s at least keep it somewhat coherent lol

@damccormick13 Just got a new order of the @trycreate_co gummies — texture is much improved. Less sticky, firmer, every batch keeps getting better 🚀🚀🚀

@BustedAuction Or how the IB / Corp Dev / Buy Side networking has been completely templatized by WSO / Breaking into Wall Street etc

@mattforthelikes @BucknSF Are you suggesting the TCO impact is driven by the amount of time it takes infra engineers to rewrite the code necessary to have the LLMs interact with the hardware? Isn't Cerebras more focused on reducing the cost of training (which seems like a real pain point) vs. inference
English

@AlexCuoci @BucknSF Total cost of ownership from purchase to implementation to operations and maintenance. Also the speed and uptime.
English

Cerebras is dogshit in every way and will still prob do fine. If you are an actually good business you will be worth more in pub markets than privates given AI drool from retail and robots
Buck@BucknSF
If you are a private company actually exposed to AI and your board is saying “not ready to IPO” and “need to get to meaningful scale”, they are idiots and you should be writing your S-1.

@bryce I've always thought of blockchain networks as a way to decentralize the compute required to keep a networking running (incentives in the form of tokens). In these consumer apps (if they are decentralized) how do you think about the hurdle of getting users to pay the validators?
English

@bucketshopcap Coreweave: it seemed like they had capacity when none of the big guys did - don't know enough about their approach to data center construction to know if they've determined a cheaper way to provide GPU compute to these LLM and AI Application companies
English

@bucketshopcap OpenAI: NTM Revenue should(?) double to a $8B run-rate, so an implied EV/NTM Revenue of 17-19x. For comparison, PLTR trades at 24.7x EV/NTM Revenue with 21% NTM Growth and 81% Gross Margins. Future GM profile is unknown, but you can squint and see a reasonable fwd rev multiple

Do yourself a favor and listen to $MSFT CTO Kevin Scott.
It's the first time a MSFT CTO has presented at an investment conference. "Perhaps" facilitated by Satya and Sam Altman.
He's one of the insiders and said or implied some pretty interesting things.
Ethan Mollick@emollick
The insider/outsider gap in AI is apparent a lot on X. Most, though not all, of the most important people in computer science (Christian has 268,569 Google Scholar citations) who are working at the major AI Labs have become increasingly confident of further rapid AI progress.

@CENSOR_ME_47 @theprogrammerr Agreed. I understand restricting the movement of a good an individual owns takes away from the core ownership pillars of crypto but I do think the features of rarity and ability to exchange for dollars within Odyssey leveraging blockchain tech is the reason for "why NFTs" here
English

@theprogrammerr @AlexCuoci Think this argument makes more sense for the wonky use cases of blockchain
Like I said, avg consumer doesn’t care if there’s a decentralized marketplace available for their STARBUCKS nfts
If they make the program more engaging, mission accomplished even without decentralization
English

@theprogrammerr Yeah I don't think it will be closed forever. Mass market needs baby steps - I imagine most people who have SB rewards accounts don't have crypto wallets. Starbucks probably won't get the same maniac Web3 engagement it wants until there is off platform opportunities to exchange
English

@AlexCuoci my brother in christ, without an aggregated, frictionless and decentralized market place to trade the loyalty program nfts, then its better to just set this up on ebay
