@MatthewCKrueger@JohnDeere I have had really good luck with active yield. If I can’t get it calibrated it’s usually because my moisture is off. I have found the moisture reading is key
We’ve been struggling with the yield data consistency since we changed colors and I found this very helpful guide from @JohnDeere that had these comments about Active Yield vs Manual Calibration. Tons of other great info as well. Link below for the PDF. #harvest24#JohnDeere
@mnbeetfarmer I havnt noticed anything. Before we put tire boss on we ran the psi to low and got pretty hard on a set of tires. Since putting it on the tire life has looked awesome
@mnbeetfarmer That’s on our New holland front boom with 1600 gallon tank. On the John Deere 1600 I do the same but I can only go down to around 22psi when the tank is empty. It’s not balanced as equal front to rear and rear tires squat more than I’m comfortable with below 22psi
@mnbeetfarmer I’ve run as low as 18psi when my tank is empty. Air them back up to 26-28psi while I’m loading water and then chase it back down while I spray. I air up to 46 on the road for short drives and 64 for longer ones and if I’m carrying some water
@LouieDN This is using gen 3 20/20 with implement guidance and a John Deere rate controller for liquid. Check your layers in the map settings to make sure it has what you want to view selected
@ndcornkid I’ve had the top chaffer actuator motor go bad and would do that. It would push the louvers shut when material was flowing over it but when you stop to look they would spring back up. The better the corn the quicker it did it.
Need a fresh perspective problem solving combine issue. #s790 overloading right half of sieves. Approx settings Concave 25 sieves 20/14 wind 1280. Seems clean behind combine until hopper get above bubble auger then spits out back end. Clean grain and tailings full of corn.
An odd request…
This friendly cat has made outside of our cabin it’s home for the last two months (Perham, MN). It puts up with a lot of craziness from our boys!
We have tried to find its owner but we can’t.
It’s a neutered male and would make an awesome shop cat (it’s “delivered” a few mice).
If anyone in W MN/E ND can make a home for him, send me a DM. My boys want him to go somewhere “fun”!
@MattMbfarm@kyleplattner I agree @MattMbfarm I feel there is a little left to be desired in that area of auto path . It seems like more often than not when we hit resume we grab the headland pass and not the main rows
@MattMbfarm No it’s never been an issue that I know of, I asked the hired man that uses them the most and he said the only issues is the engine at the beginning on the year and a random belt roller will lock up but isn’t very often
