TRUMP ANNOUNCES $2,000 TARIFF DIVIDEND FOR AMERICANS President Donald Trump announced a $2,000 payment to most Americans, funded by U.S. tariff revenues. In a Truth Social post, he said the U.S. is collecting “trillions of dollars” in tariffs and will use the money to reduce national debt and reward citizens—excluding high-income earners. Trump called tariff critics “fools” and claimed the U.S. is now the “richest, most respected country in the world,” citing record stock markets and 401(k) values.

Why is Bitcoin still struggling to rise? Because there are two powerful forces holding it back 1) It's 1.5 years since the last BTC halving. BTC peaked 1.5y after halving in the previous 2 cycles, so many long-term-holders are selling in expectation of the same thing happening again (which of course is not guaranteed). 2) The top red trendline acts as resistance. It's no small thing to ignore trendlines that have held the price between two boundaries for more than a decade. So it's actually perfectly rational that long-term-holders are offloading some of their bags at this point. The odds are no longer skewed as heavily in favour of a renewed climb, so they're hedging their bets, which is a sensible thing to do. But it's not all bad news for bulls! The fact remains that Bitcoin's price has closely followed the movements of the big tech stocks since 2022. Stocks are still in a roaring bull market, and - while BTC is taking a bit of a breather right now - it's still broadly in line with that long bull market trend that started in 2023. So until I see a clear decoupling from tech stocks, I'll be reluctant to conclude BTC's bull market is ending. Obviously BTC needs to resolve its direction one way or the other. Bulls are hoping the roaring stock market continues to drag crypto along with it. Bears are hoping BTC will continue to follow its long-term cycles and head back down to the lower red line. A break through the top red line would be historic and take us into completely uncharted territory!
