Kentucky may really catch a major break if they face Iowa State without Joshua Jefferson.

Jacari White was special as Virginia advances past Wright State. Clint Sargent had his guys ready and Virginia was tested. The magical year for Ryan Odom continues. They await the winner of Tennessee/Miami University

@coleadamss You’ve got to be a proud Wright State fan. They were in it until the end. Sargent can coach.

@ryanhammer09 How this kid was a 6th man and not a starter was beyond me. What a year for him and Ryan Odom

Been saying it. ACC had an increase in tournament teams and teams went from bad to good. But they didnt go from good to great. ACC needs more programs to become great

All they needed was a warning or delay of game. Man the sport gets softer by the day.

Man do some refs want the game about them. What an egregious technical in the UVA-Wright State game.

Huge loss for Iowa State without Jefferson but they are still rolling Tennessee State. Does open the door slightly for Kentucky next round

@TheSportsJD Two things here: 1. The ref should know the situation better. 2. Your Santa Clara. You’re never gonna get calls your way against Kentucky. Your players still should’ve known the situation and he shouldn’t have had to call time out to do that.

I’ve always said if you don’t foul up three and the team ties the game, the team that doesn’t foul up three deserves to lose the game. I said that about Yale when they played Penn and I said it today about Santa Clara. Both results went the other teams way.

@TheSportsJD Foul him once the ball is inbounded. Players were too busy celebrating

@AndrewSHoops2 The way the refs were they would’ve found a way to put Oweh on the line for three

Did Yale foul up 3 against Penn? No. Did Santa Clara foul up 3 against Kentucky? No What a shot by Oweh.

@2ndChancePoints I said this earlier. You need people in those positions who have covered the sport all season long. Not just “on assignment” people

CBS just openly mocking college hoops fans by making a game of how little their studio crew knows/cares about college hoops

If Kentucky loses today, which fan base is hotter about their program needing to make changes? Kentucky or Carolina?

Dont disagree. NCAA though will let p5 teams do what they want because they make the $$. The day they make a rule forcing p5 teams to play good mid major teams is the day actual change happens. Also hard to quantify what a good mid major team is year to year outside of say VCU and the usual suspects

NCAA should force P5 programs' hands to play them. Either make it on the record that playing a certain amount of Q4 games will reflect poorly on Selection Sunday, or adjust the metrics to effectively reflect that The "good mid-majors" will only then start getting games. Teams though are still always going to want a few 250+ NET games regardless so those won't go away for the lower teams as well

Not disagreeing but I just wonder if some coaches don’t want the UNC job because of the passionate fans. Can sometimes be difficult to deal with. Obviously when you sign up for a big job, thats to be expected. I do think Oats is most likely of the big names but if he turns it down, im just curious if Byington is a good pivot

@AndrewSHoops2 He has done a hell of a job wherever he has been. I think if you're UNC, you have to make an immediate splash.

My UNC coaching candidates "short list." This is strictly my opinion. In order of preference. Tommy Loyd TJ Otzeberger Todd Golden Jay Wright Kelvin Sampson (He is gonna retire soon but Ive always loved him.)
