Shame is the true disease of culture. Shame creates secrecy and sabotaging behaviors More importantly: it never changed anyone. The cure for shame is self integrity. Doing what you said you would. Making difficult choices, when no one is watching. Refusing to go against your values for a hit of dopamine or escapism. Remove the shackles of shame by acting as your highest self, not just when it's convenient.
