@MagdalaJB @NealMilne @CarolineLucas And it takes only 20 "molecules" per million to increase global temp by 1°. Last ice age was 200ppm, pre-indust era we were 300ppm and now 420ppm.
So those "molecules" make an impact.

English

@MagdalaJB @NealMilne @CarolineLucas It’s called leading by example. All countries will have to get there by forced march, and UK better be showing the way.

As UK’s last coal fired power plant closes today, it’s a good time to reflect on long campaigns against new coal. 16 years ago I joined campaigners against Kingsnorth. Back then, we were mocked for calling for an end to coal - now it’s finally happened theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

@Ed_Miliband @Ed_Miliband With such a low concentration in the air (0.04% of CO2), and because CO2 is so stable, it would require as much energy to capture the CO2 we emit as the energy we use globally.
This is not a way forward and it has been proven. Reducing emissions is the only way. 👎

@BBCPolitics @RosieDuffield1 Good job putting back tories in power 👍 How smart.

“Do you think [Keir Starmer] has a problem with women?” asks #BBCLauraK
“I’m afraid I do” says Rosie Duffield, who has resigned the Labour whip

@pritipatel Such a looser 😂
Go back to your cave, may we never hear of you again 😂😂

@tomarmitage11 @TerraOrBust @gavinesler Yes, incredible how one can skew facts to a point of misrepresentation that it looks almost positive. Twitter is such a garbage.
English

@TerraOrBust @gavinesler I read this list as far as realising they weren’t actually benefits but the same propaganda used to encourage people to leave. None of them are actually tangible benefits we have experienced as a result of Brexit. But all of it is fine because I can trade in Swiss equities 😂
English

@TerraOrBust @donjovi2 @gymnosophie @GoldEurovision @gavinesler Good try to look away, but water companies no longer have to limit their waste water rejection in the ocean, so tourists can swim in their own poo.
Hooray for this brexit benefit.
English

@donjovi2 @gymnosophie @GoldEurovision @gavinesler Don.
Are you *seriously* telling me that you think victorian sewerage systems were affected by leaving a political union in 2020?
You want me to take your opinions seriously, right?
English

@TerraOrBust @ValMarshall She said “received more”, not “net contributor”.
The value taken from the membership was way more than the short-sighted “monetary net contribution”: culture, education, trade with no red tape, participation in many programs, etc.
Therefore this cannot be called a “benefit”.
English

@ValMarshall No, we didn't.
You seem to be struggling with the meaning of the term "Net Contributor"
The EU don't struggle with the meaning. They have no problem at all admitting that net contributors put in more than they get out. As that is what the words mean.

Some may not like that they exist - but that doesn't change the fact that they do.
