@RealCandaceO If you are wrong about all this, will you apologize for everything you did to Erica Kirk?

@mattvanswol If there is one thing i dislike about conservatives is that many of then tend to be the most cynical people on the planet. Trump has had an incredible first year and conservatives are like, “Not good enough.”

Let me break this down simply: We have a greed problem. We can afford Medicare for All. We can afford to house every person sleeping on the street. We can afford to make public college tuition free and guarantee access to universal pre-k to every child in America. The money exists. It's just sitting in the bank accounts of billionaires who write blank checks to corrupt politicians to make sure it stays there. Tax the rich. Fund the people. That's it.

@MattWalshBlog I pay between $15,000-$18,000 per kid per year. Three kids and 9 years in and I have spent over $200,000 just on childcare.

The idea that child care costs 400 thousand dollars a year is, of course, totally insane. She inflated the cost by about 2,500 percent. Even if she meant that families have to earn 400 thousand a year to afford child care, it's still insane. Not remotely true. Also: one really great way to avoid child care costs, which are much lower than what this person claims, is to have the mother stay home and raise her own children. We are the first society in human history to decide that both the man and the woman should leave the home every day. It is a radical break from what every other society on the planet since the beginning of human civilization has done. Turns out our new system just doesn't work. Oh well. Rather than adjust to that reality, the leftist solution is to give up on having kids entirely. They would literally rather usher in the extinction of the human race than do something that makes feminists upset. Absolute psychopaths.

There is zero doubt that the 2020 election was stolen. But the irony is that those four years off made Trump a far better President than he would have been in 2020!

@JoshReynolds24 Can’t hold there behind half court. Should’ve heaved the ball as high as he could straight in the air to have it land in bounds but deep on UConn’s side so even if they came down with the ball it would be difficult to advance it and get off a clean shot.

Legit feel sick for Cayden Boozer… I get that nobody was in the backcourt & he was trying to end it, but my goodness… He holds onto the ball, gets fouled, goes to the free-throw line & ices the game. Instead turns it over & costs them a Final 4. Brutal.

Flight delayed on tarmac. Missed our connection. Based on the other flights available, which were also delayed, and the fact that taking a flight tomorrow would require getting back into a security line stretching seemingly for miles, we decided to get a car and drive five hours to our destination. That’s how bad air travel is right now. Driving is faster. Air travel is awful in this country. People don’t realize just how much it sucks unless they have to do it a lot. It’s not just TSA. Flight delays. Air traffic control issues. Service is even worse than usual. Every airport is crowded and slow and worn down and dirty. Everyone brings their dogs. The term “service animal” doesn’t mean anything anymore. Air travel used to be luxurious. People used to wear suits. Working for an airline was prestigious. The employees took it seriously. It sucks now. It’s terrible. This is the kind of thing our leaders should be fixing. Because the most frustrating thing is that it is so eminently fixable. If only anyone bothered to try.

Cayden Boozer had people saying he didn’t deserve to be anywhere close to a power conference court if it wasn’t for his brother and now he’s been Duke’s 3rd best offensive player this tournament

The sun was free. They sold you SPF 50 and a vitamin D deficiency. Sleep was free. They sold you an app, a pill, and a wearable that tells you your sleep was bad. Walking was free. They sold you a treadmill, a fitness tracker, and a £180 pair of trainers. Fasting was free. They sold you meal replacement shakes and the anxiety that skipping breakfast would wreck your metabolism. Cold water was free. They sold you a £3,000 plunge barrel and a podcast episode about it. Silence was free. They sold you a meditation app with a premium tier. Animal fat was cheap. They sold you seed oils, then supplements to replace what the animal fat contained. Tallow was cheap. They sold you a seventeen-step skincare routine and a clinical trial proving your face needs ceramides. Meat was cheap. They are currently selling you the idea that you shouldn't eat it. The 20th century removed access to everything the body needs to function. The 21st century is selling it back, one subscription at a time. Your great-grandmother had none of the products. She had all of the things.

If there is a plan, we wouldn’t be told what it is anyway, since it’d be stupid to let the enemy know what you are going to do. So maybe there is a plan, and maybe there isn’t. The fact is that we can’t know one way or the other, so it’s ridiculous to conclude that there isn’t one. As with everything… wait and see is often the only option we really have. Because at this point, it’d be foolish to withdraw. Too late to turn back now. We ought to heed Napolean’s words, “If you start to take Vienna… take Vienna!” My hope is they flood the zone and get this shit over with ASAP. I still approve of the war. But if it drags on for months and months my approval will lessen. It’s too early to say if this was the right move or not… But it seems like we are kicking the shit out of them. All of their top leaders were taken out right at the beginning. If this were a video game, it seems like we started the game by killing the final boss and all of the toughest bad guys. Yeah there are some sidequests, but isn’t the hardest part of the game completed?

Some of us expressed great concern about the Iran War when it was first launched. We were shouted down and condemned as “panicans” and “blackpillers” and even Islamist sympathizers. But it’s pretty clear from how things have gone that our concerns were absolutely reasonable and legitimate. Maybe Trump will get us out of this thing soon and it still won’t spiral into a long and drawn out war. But even if that happens — and I’m not convinced it will — no thoughtful person can deny at this point that the spiral and long war scenario is very much a possibility. No reasonable person, at this stage, can say that our concerns were irrational. What looks irrational now — and always did — is the demand for blind allegiance and unthinking “trust” in our elected leaders, as though we are called to have faith in politicians like we have faith in God.

@HippyMomPhD Math seems like the easiest subject in the world to gamify. Why not just turn the entire math curriculum into a video game? Make the scenerios simulate how you would use the math in REAL LIFE. History simulations would be cool too.

Every now & then you need to STOP -- and teach your kids how beautiful math is ... hear me out Math gets rough for a lot of kids. It's also easy to make delightful - if you know where to look There are TONS of Math Games - and - Exploring Art through a mathematical lens is so powerful About 2 months ago, I brought in a math supplement that focused on beautiful games - think logic puzzles, geometric art pieces, & fast-paced dice games Today, my children did this for an hour+ & enthusiastically showed me PAGES of effortful but playful math Just so you know, my oldest finds math VERY hard - there are tears... often. I'm NOT talking about a gifted math kid who happens to love math puzzles. I'm talking about YOUR kid who dreads math finding out it's kinda beautiful. My oldest may never love math - but she'll know it's something more than numbers on a page And I'll count that as a win♥️
