@ashtradin I started when it crossed over the 50ma, and added to my position on the orcl gap up news.

Sidestepping Feb-Mar was the biggest contributor to this. Was fortunate with the leaders as I picked up 3 of them with size. Usually get 1, maybe 2 if lucky. Still long those, and plan to hold them into earnings. $BE being one of them, and had a great report tonight.

@ashtradin Then the wider stops hits at the obvious shakeout level, you have a big loss, and you don’t want to buy back. Tried that game. Rather put alerts at an area and spend 15-30 mins trying for potentially a lot of $ w tiny risk.

Just my opinion but think mistake a lot of traders make is trying a name once w a stop and moving on vs tightening stops and trying it 2-4x to get it right. There’s a reason you want in, it’s a leader likely. Leaders never make it easy. My members will see me stalk a name and try it 3x w a smaller total loss than the 1 time buyer who moves on to likely less strong names.
