Salah Sarsour must be released immediately.
His detention by ICE is completely unlawful, unjust, and cruel. It is yet another example of Trump’s authoritarian ambitions and his administration’s efforts to restrict the freedom of speech of those who stand against Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
ICE has detained Salah because he speaks out against the genocide of Palestinians. He is a legal permanent resident who has been in the United States for more than thirty years. He is a father, a respected community leader, and he has both the right to criticize Israel’s genocide in Gaza and the right to stay in this country.
Free him. Abolish ICE.

The youngest daughter of Qassem Soleimani has claimed that the women targeted by the State Department aren’t even related to the late Iranian Quds Force commander (assassinated by the Trump admin in 2020).
In other words, the State Dept is doing whatever Loomer directs them to do, including violating the constitutional rights of green card holders

BREAKING: Following my report and follow up with the US State Department in which I exposed the fact that Qasem Soleimani’s Niece Hamideh Soleimani Afshar has been living in the United States (Los Angeles, California) where she posts pro-Iranian regime and pro-IRGC content on her social media while she lives a life of luxury, the US State Department and @SecRubio have just revoked her green card and she has been picked up by ICE. She has been arrested and will be deported back to Iran! According to the official @StateDept press release, “Last night, the niece and grand niece of deceased Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Major General Qasem Soleimani were arrested by federal agents following Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s termination of their lawful permanent resident (LPR) status. Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter are now in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. As identified by both press reporting and her own social media commentary, Soleimani Afshar is an outspoken supporter of the totalitarian, terrorist regime in Iran. In addition to the termination of Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter’s LPR status, Afshar’s husband has also been barred from entering the United States.” Over the last few months, I have quietly been documenting all of Hamideh Soleimani Afshar’s social media activity. Even though green card holders are supposed to have the same constitutional rights as citizens -
including due process and free speech - those protections no longer mean anything.
People cannot lose their green card status simply because of familial relationships, so the justification shifts here to their alleged support for the Iranian government.
But supporting a foreign government is not a criminal offense. And if you begin to treat it as one - as the U.S. government effectively is in this case - then expect a lot more of this.
It will not stop here, and it will not remain limited to Iranians. The logic does not contain itself, it expands.

Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States. Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan." This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States. The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.
