@air_intel @TBrit90 The consequence would've been the buying Chinese or Russian jets. The reason we didn't oppose it because it was "better the devil you know" we know how to take down f-16s because we fight them all the time on red flag

@observer_drone @TBrit90 Projecting power is one of, if not THE biggest export of America. It keeps you the petro-dollar

@TBrit90 Brother, I do not think that is the threat you think it is. Most Americans don't want to be entangled Europe, the Middle East or Africa. Only the the class of globalist merchants and their political clients would really be upset over that convenient excuse to walk away.

Yes the US could fuck us with everything we buy from them, but we could fuck them in return. Remove every US base from NATO and their ability to project power in Europe, Africa and the Middle East goes on life support. The Iran war could not have been sustained, nor could assets have so quickly responded.
Alexander Clarkson @APHClarkson

The United States will pretty quickly discover that bases and supply lines through the UK, Spain, Italy, Germany and France matter a lot more to America's position as a global power than keeping Milei happy

@BladeoftheS Some people on benefits cost hundreds of thousands per person to keep. Should we get rid of them too?

The Falklands is a barely inhabitable hellhole, arctic cold, permanent gales, nothing to do. Less than 3,500 people live there and it costs over £100,000 per person per year to keep them there. It is time to stop pretending it is anything but a massive worthless drain on the UK

The UK full new state pension is £11,973 a year. The poverty line for a single adult is around £14,500. You'll work 50 years paying into a system that, by its own definition, retires you straight into poverty.

@B0redBen They don’t have a price on them. They’re linked by barcode. You can’t just print your own stickers.

In some stores, on trial. If they wanted to increase the prices, without LED's, what do you think they do? How do you think they increase prices now? They just print a new paper label.
Ben G@B0redBen

@dresserman Asda now has the led screen price tags so they can increase the prices easier

@dresserman Wouldn't work here, people would just print their own stickers if they're all the same with no price on it

@B0redBen No. You apply a sticker (In Albert Heijn it's a floral shaped sticker) to the product and the label flickers to say with sticker (kortig in dutch which is discount I believe) is 40% off, then it changes nearer the end of the day. etc.

@dresserman They're not gonna change the price of the whole shelf because one thing at the front is going out of date.

@dresserman @B0redBen And the honest truth is a lot of retailers internal systems just wouldn’t support a mid-day price change.

@B0redBen Reductions can be far more effective - we have seen this in Holland eg. But the continent all have electronic / digital labels. Any evidence of gouging or surge pricing?

@ligma__sigma @designed_future @sunnkssdseraph There's a netflix documentary about this called don't fuck with cats. Pretty sure the guy ended up killing someone, stabbing them like hundreds of times, then decapitating them and cutting off their limbs.

On 4chan, years ago, some guy put a post up saying he strangled his wife. Everyone was calling the photos fake, but he was insistent and told everyone strangling people is a lot harder than it looks in the movies. Eventually he said he son was coming home and so was going to just suicide by cop with a fake gun before he arrived. Some astute 4channer realised the photos were legit and used exif data to track the photos and warn the cops. Cops managed to arrest him without shooting him up and divert the kid before he arrived home. But it was seriously messed up and I stopped using 4chan after that.

@joeedgar1909 @SuellaBraverman The vetting is. The decision on what to do with the information from vetting doesn't come from the vetting service though. They just pass the information on to the relevant authority to make the decision

@SuellaBraverman Can't be that rigorous given the numbers found to be unsuitable after passing the so called vetting. I'm sure like all other political measures you can buy success.

As someone who has been through and passed Developed Vetting, I can assure you that it is an incredibly rigorous (and expensive) process. The professionals involved in our vetting work to the highest standards. Rightly so. It is absolutely fundamental to our national security. Overrule or ignore it because of cronyism and the whole system comes crashing down.

🇬🇧 Driver avoids jail after crash that overturned a military convoy vehicle and left soldier with broken back Crenguta Aruxandei, 44, received a six-month suspended prison sentence, a 12-month driving ban, and a £154 victim surcharge after a collision in which a military Land Rover Defender flipped over, leaving its driver with a suspected broken back. According to Northamptonshire Police, dashcam footage showed the incident was “completely avoidable.” The video shows Aruxandei changing lanes in an Audi Q2 while exiting, forcing the Land Rover in a convoy to take evasive action, after which it rolled across both lanes.

@Thatotherguy78 @Stonky420 @visegrad24 If you have a trailer or a heavy load, you must maintain a greater safety distance and slower speed. This way, if the vehicle in front brakes or changes direction suddenly, you can safely avoid a collision.

Incredibly old man tweet this...but it really is shocking how decrepit this country is becoming. Roads are fucked, there's litter and vandalism everywhere, no jobs, absurd cost of living. It's incredibly bleak and I can't see any way out of it for a very long time.
