@PaddyTheFitzer Socially unacceptable yet they have been popular for decades. Calling women whores & bitches is not equal to men being called useless. There is a violence to one that doesn’t exist in the other. It’s not applied equally bc it is not levied equally. Only one is hate speech.

@arcuaria Those are socially unacceptable though and condemned by polite society as misogynistic (rightly), the problem is that the social unacceptability of hate speech isn’t applied equally by mainstream polite society. That’s the specific problem. It’s not about the speech itself.

What I need Irish people to understand is if even they find Irish-Americans annoying, misinformed, etc the love and loyalty they feel to Ireland is very real. Like Ireland could go to war tomorrow and the Irish-Americans would try to enlist

@RyanisRight I had some pine nuts so I did use them! But not enough so I added in cashews. Olive oil, fresh garlic, spritz of lemon, white miso & salt. I didn’t have any cheese or nutritional yeast when I made it so I just skipped it but you can’t really tell bc of the miso imo

Ordered a basil plant on my grocery shop last week (with the intention of separating out the seedlings & making multiple basil plants) but they were out of stock & sent me 8 bags of basil instead. Made pesto. So fucking good 10/10.

Ignore the shitty pre grated vegan cheese that’s also all they had in stock. Plus I realised the only pasta I had in the cupboard was a very old box of cannelloni so I just smashed it up into shards.

It just seems so obvious that by constantly bringing up the age of the new lead and how the show seemed too young that they wanted this to be a adult show with a lot of sex in it & were pissed that it was geared towards teenagers
