I just saw news of another $300m crypto scam, and as I was wondering how they would get away with it by laundering the money, I remembered a neighbor in Ikoyi who was a suspected offshore fraudster and how he managed to evade scrutiny for so long. He kept importing used household items in containers and selling them off at ridiculous prices. I kept wondering why he was bringing them in if he wasn't making much money from them. It later clicked. That was how the money was likely laundered. Pay cash for worthless goods, import them, sell them for almost nothing but claim you made a lot of money from selling them. On both sides, money was being washed. He lived a very quiet life doing this for a very long time. No family, no visitors. He lived among the ultra-wealthy but kept a very low profile. No flashy cars. One day, I saw him on the plane in Libya, flying economy class. It was very odd. He was shocked to see me, but pretended that he didn't know me at all. He disappeared from the neighborhood shortly afterward. Nobody saw him again. Crime is not an easy occupation. Stealing the money is the easy part. Running away and hiding the money is much harder.

The concept of a man who as governor could not sponsor his state’s team to National sports festival or even build a township stadium telling Nigerian youths the usefulness of sports and they’re lapping it up. All of you love Fugazi. I hope he wins so you can witness it in 3D
Peter Obi@PeterObi

The Transformative Power of Sport Sports have the unique power to forge identity and legacy. Iconic figures like Pelé and Plato - originally named Edson Arantes do Nascimento and Aristocles - carried names earned through athletic prowess rather than birth. This reveals a profound truth: sports are not merely entertainment; they are a crucible for character and excellence. With this in mind, I arrived early in Ibadan today and observed the ongoing clean-up exercise. I parked beside the Lekan Salami Stadium, where groups of young people were actively engaged in basketball, lawn tennis, handball, and judo. It was uplifting to witness their discipline and energy. Such scenes reflect progress and offer a powerful glimpse into the immense potential of our youth. I made it a point to stop and encourage them because sports are more than just a game - they are a lifeline as well as a critical sector that deserves greater investment and support. For these young men, sports serve as a powerful engine for social mobility and personal reinvention. By instilling relentless discipline and teamwork, the field becomes a space where they can transcend their circumstances, sharpen their resolve, and transform their raw potential into a lasting legacy of excellence. A new Nigeria is Possible. -PO

“Men are scum. So, there’s this guy that we only have s**x, nothing attached . So, on this very day, I was in the mood, so I called him to ask if he was home and that I wanted to start coming. At first, he said he wasn’t home. Later, he said he was home but about to go out. When he starts giving excuses like this, I already know a woman is in his house. So I told him he was ly!ng and didn’t want me to come because a woman was there. He now said yes, that his girlfriend was around. I told him that’s his business. Jokingly, I told him it doesn’t mean anything, that his girlfriend will be upstairs doing her thing and we’ll be downstairs doing our thing too. I never knew he was going to consider it. He now said, no wahala, come over. I went to his house. When I got to the door, I rang the bell. He texted me on WhatsApp that if I’m the one ringing the bell, I should hold on, that he’s in the restroom and coming. Like 5 to 10 minutes later, someone opened the door. I thought it was him, but it turned out to be the babe. At first, I wanted to p@nic, but I composed myself. She said he told her I should wait for him in the parlour. I said no wahala. That was how she went upstairs, and I sat like a visitor in a house I’ve visited more than 50 times. Later on, he came downstairs. Could you believe this guy locked his main babe inside the room and came downstairs? Men are scum, no respect. He doesn’t have any atom of respect for the girl. He no even reason say him babe dey house. After we finished, I started pitying the girl. Like, why will I do my fellow woman this kind of thing? I started feeling b@d. That girl doesn't deserve that boy. Good girl no dey pay oo. If you like continue acting good girl, men will use you. Imagine say na one baddie dey inside that house, them no born that guy well make he carry babe enter that house...” - Lady shares sh0cking story of visiting a man who allegedly locked his girlfriend upstairs, sparking reactions online.

I’ve watched him all season, and nothing—absolutely nothing—suggests he can be a reliable backup to Lamine Yamal. The talent might be there, but at Barça, potential is not enough. You either perform or you don’t. And right now? He doesn’t have it. I actually agree with the fan who said Barcelona should go for Bernardo Silva (especially if there’s even a slight chance of a free deal 👀) to properly support Yamal on that right wing. Meanwhile, Bardghji should go out on loan and learn the game properly. Yes, he’s had a few decent moments—but let’s be honest, most of the time… he’s just not it. Barça is not a development center. This is elite level football. If you’re not ready, you don’t play. Simple. Now let’s hear it… am I lying or are you people just emotionally attached? 👀🔥

@AmMuhammad1886 @NewsCentralTV Can you point out a country that doesn't borrow? Even the US , UK everyone loves to sampled, do they still borrow? Then, do you sincerely mean removal of subsidy hasn't reflected in the nation's finances...with what states and LGs now access monthly? No nation grows without loan

Following the videos circulating online with reports of unrest in Lekki today, the Lagos State Commisioner of Police carried out a rapid investigation and launched a sting operation between the axis, Chisco and Osakpa bus stop. This led to successful identification and arrest of a number of hoodlums. Rihanna talks on how she and A$AP Rocky started dating: Interviewer: so how did you and A$AP Rocky meet? Rihanna: we first at a rehearsal for the 2012 VMAs so it was like manager to manager, client to client. then during my performance onstage I don’t know where he got the courage from but he got onstage and grabbed my ass that night.. everybody thought I was about to react angrily.. my team was worried that I wanted to have his head on a fucking mantle. But I was like, “Ah, nah.” Then everybody was like, “Oh my god.” She likes him!" after that incident we stayed in each other’s world for years as friends until the end of 2019 that we decided to take that step of dating. we saw fashion the same, we saw creative the same. I would wear his shit, he would show up to my launches. I’ve seen him in relationships, he’s seen me in relationships. We’ve seen each other outside of relationships. We knew what we’re capable of and the trouble we could bring to each other’s lives. We can make or break each other’s hearts… so we started dating with a lot of caution. I just let whatever was supposed to happen, happen. It was like, “This is a flower. It’s either going to die or blossom. But I’m going to let it decide itself.”

“It’s high time we stop standing on the sidelines when it comes to the security of what we consume. Look at this particular bread—can you see the red circle and the whitish substance that looks like powder on it? This was bread supplied to me by another company. They came the same day I was making the video that got me arrested. I told my girls to remove this one and keep it aside to see if the result would be the same, then we would stop selling the bread. A few days later, this particular one became damp. The result you’re seeing now is as of yesterday.” — Ms. Love Dooshima, the woman who went viral over her claim about a loaf of bread, shares another video.

“I went to the station to honour the invitation of the AIG over the case of Bon bread that was reported. To the best of my knowledge, everything that happened shows my case was already determined and concluded before I got to the station. I made the video intentionally without mentioning any company. I arrived at the police station and was treated like a cr!m!nal.” — Ms. Love Dooshima, the woman who went viral over her claim about a loaf of bread, breaks her silence after her encounter at the police station.

This morning I heard my neighbour and his wife arguing…and the issue? Omo it’s deep. Apparently before they got married, the man suggested they should run the house 50:50. They’ve been doing that for like 3 years now. Now they want to start having kids… the woman said since everything has been equal, they should use a surrogate and both split the cost. She even priced it lmao… about 14 million, so 7 million each and she is cool with it, apparently she has found a surrogate. The man rejected the offer😭 that it’s the woman’s job to carry his pregnancy… and why will he marry and another woman will give birth for him? The woman said it’s unfair… if everything has been 50:50, why should she be the only one to go through pregnancy pain alone? When she is also contribute in paying her hospital bill and other baby stuff. As I’m typing this, both of them have called their families, it’s about to be along night lol. Omo this matter don long 😭 If you were them, what would you do? Or what advice would you give the couple? Pls repost 💔

2 years ago, I was just on my own in club with a friend and his chic, 3 girls came to share our table with us, one came to my front and started dancing with me, putting my hands on her a-ss and stuff, after few minutes, she now whispered into my ears - "are you not going to spray me", I bet she could see the irritation in my eyes as I pulled back from dancing with her. She quickly tried to make it up by pulling me back and grinding on me well. Just before I left the club, I told her what she did earlier was insulting, a guy owes you nothing for dancing with him. Enjoy yourself, if you make a guy happy, he will want to make you happy too.

I’ve seen the “bread woman” issue, and it’s a good moment to restate how defamation actually works under Nigerian law. A claimant must prove a few major elements: a statement was made, it is false, it was published, it referred to them, and it is capable of lowering them in the eyes of right-thinking members of the society. See Olutola v. UNILORIN (2004) 18 NWLR (Pt. 905) 416. In this case, yes, a statement was made and it was published. But the main issue is identification. The law asks one question, would a reasonable person watching that video conclude it was about a specific bread company? From what is available, that link is missing. The video does not point to any identifiable brand. And that matters!!! Defamation is not built on guesses. The reference must be clear from the content itself, either directly or through context that makes the connection obvious. It has been said that she liked comments naming a brand. That may be relied on, but it does not replace the core requirement. The focus remains on the video !!! On these facts, the claim faces real difficulty. Without clear identification, I don’t see how the bakery owner has a successful cause of action.
𝐀𝐬𝐚𝐤𝐲𝐆𝐑𝐍@AsakyGRN

Woman who went viral about bread she said remained fresh for over two months, now claims the company sued her for ₦50 million, alleging they lost that amount in three days because of the video, even though she says she never mentioned their name.

My friend called his fiancée a few minutes ago before their wedding tomorrow to tell her he just lost his job. Embezzlement charges... He knew about it but wasn't directly involved. He was shaking before he dialed. She picked up. He told her everything. She paused and said... "It doesn't matter. The wedding continues. We will figure it out together after." He broke down crying on the phone. She told him not to think about it. Then she prayed for him. Phone was on loudspeaker. We heard everything. After he dropped the call he looked at us and said "Please marry right."

My friend is getting married tomorrow. Everything has been going well... preparations, excitement, family everywhere. We even have a groomsmen group chat buzzing nonstop. Then this morning, he sent me a private message. He just lost his job. According to the email, he was dismissed over an embezzlement case at work. And tomorrow is his wedding. Now he’s asking me one question: Should he tell his wife-to-be now… or wait until after the wedding? Honestly, I’m stuck too. What would you do?

He showed it from the start that he won’t be giving cheap fouls and stood by that rule till the final whistle. He knew players will try to get cheap fouls and he wasn’t taking it from the very start. It’s a quarter final, you will fight for every ball and won’t get a lucky freekick. Slavko Vincic !! What a man👏
