Iran was ordered to leave the U.S. and return to Mexico directly after their first match of the World Cup. The team had expected to spend the night in California, but was told after their match that everyone must immediately get on a plane for the 140-mile trip back to Tijuana, Mexico. Coach Amir Ghalenoei says the team was ordered to leave the U.S. but did not say why or who ordered them to leave earlier than planned. "I think our team is perhaps the most oppressed in the World Cup."

@KTiereny @longislandviper I won't sit here and act like soccer isn't a highly skilled sport but Football is way more entertaining. Soccer and hockey are only exciting when a goal is scored. Football will have tons of plays in between touchdowns that are just as exciting

@longislandviper American football is the most stop start sport in the world. Every time I’ve tried to watch it I’ve last about 2 minutes. Cute tho with your little armour sets an stuff. Doesn’t come close to proper football though.
