I’m noticing a lot of foreigners who seem to not understand why we’d risk hundreds of lives, spend millions of dollars, and sacrifice several aircraft to rescue one guy. And the reason they don’t understand is also the reason people can’t be made American by a piece of paper.

This kind of statement only shows how little you understand about Iran and the region. Refugees aren’t created in a vacuum — they are the product of authoritarian regimes, repression, and decades of geopolitical intervention. Maybe learn the context before reducing people’s suffering to a slogan. And perhaps it’s better people like you don’t try to give advice to timid politicians like Starmer in the first place.

People forget this part of history. Israel defeated Egypt in war and then gave back the entire Sinai Peninsula - an area bigger than Israel itself - in exchange for peace. Israel withdrew from Gaza completely in 2005, removing its own settlements and citizens. Parts of the West Bank were handed over to Palestinian governance under the Oslo Accords. The Golan Heights wasn’t returned because Syria never made peace and the area overlooks northern Israel strategically. So the narrative that Israel just “occupies land and never gives anything back” is simply not true. Land was returned where peace was possible. Land was held where war was still the reality. That’s not ideology. That’s strategy and survival.

The Iron Dome isn’t necessarily to protect Israel. It’s there to protect the people constantly attacking Israel. If Israel didn’t have a way to shoot down missiles, they would have to neutralise the threat, at all cost. If every missile from Hamas hit homes, and killed people—I don’t think there would be a Gaza left. Despite what you hear, Israel consistently fights with one arm tied behind its back. It literally tells people where—and when—a strike is coming. They actually care about human life. Defences like the Iron Dome allow them to endure more, before acting. It makes them long suffering—even as the world lies about their military conduct. Israel’s enemies are genuinely retarded. They will continue firing projectiles forever, no matter how often they lose. No matter how many deals they’re offered. Leftists think it’s a good thing to remove Israel’s defensive weapons. Doing that is begging to see more brutal wars, with more casualties, more often. But hey, I don’t expect these people to think about the consequences of things.
