@Ony1nyechi Syncretism is an issue though, I’m not sure if Islamic societies have that issue.
The question most have is what aspects of their culture to retain and what to discard.

This building historically belongs to Christians, today it has been converted to a mosque. We are witnessing the evidence of Islam expansionist and conquering mindset. What those Imams are preaching is exactly what has been happening for centuries.
