The point still stands though. People weren't interested in Marathon and still continue not to be. With Crimson Desert it has a ton of issues and still despite that people want to play that over Marathon. Its not a 1:1 comparison, but you can draw some inferences with these stats.

Marathon seriously needs a streamer mode Too many times we have killed 2 people on a team and then the 3rd runs and rats while they pull up the stream to see when we leave the bags to know when it is safe to come rez and then hunt us down knowing our position from stream

@irithyIl @BenWarTooth I don't think this is being understood, it's not about streamsniping, it's about getting information you wouldn't have access to if you didn't know you were mid fight with a streamer, also just prevents weird behaviour in solo backfills as we've seen with female streamers already

@BenWarTooth The whole point is if a team gets 2/3 downed and they see it's a streamer, they can then screen watch to know when to go for the revive. The solution is to make it so your name just shows as redacted. Not a hard fix but improves game integrity

I explained why people think its selfish. 2nd part to your question is it won't really have an effect imo when they can just pull up your screen. Sadly its an issue streamers have to deal with. To add on its a feature they have to add in and take time from something else to do this.
