@esjesjesj "this continues a clear pattern in your recent requests for similar imagery (armed Black men in shadowy/silhouette style at specific real locations). might be one of the most pitiful things I've ever read

@darthroach_ @rauuburn You just don’t know how captions work because you’re a loser, posting edgy sarcastic captions on instagram is the norm for people who actually have lives

I feel like the reason so many people hate characters in media is because they're so used to third person omniscient story telling that they never realize that characters are written in first person

Get a load of this panini press in the kitchen at the gas station where I work. It's never been cleaned and stays on 24/7.

@PanderShirts unironically since so many other big Nintendo games have VA I wonder if half of the reason is to not make any pronunciations canon in game. even in the anime they aren't consistent with themselves

Pokemon games absolutely need voice acting if not only so that people can pronounce the names of the pokemon correctly. The shit I hear on twitch is crazy

"To read the essay, the professor had to carefully heat the paper over a gas stove, slowly bringing the hidden words to life." --- "So uh, gonna have to give you a failing grade... I couldn't read your report." "What!? I told you how to read it didn't I?" "Yeah, yeah, the gas stove thing. See what happened was—" "You torched it by accident." "Oh in a heartbeat. I've never seen something burn so quickly."
ArchaeoHistories@histories_arch

A history assignment about ninjas took an unexpected turn in 2019 when a Japanese university student decided to submit her essay in a way that would have impressed the very people she was studying. The student, who was studying ninja history at Mie University, wrote her entire report using invisible ink. Instead of regular ink, she used a traditional technique made from soybeans. When the liquid dries, it becomes nearly impossible to see on paper. The text only appears when heat is applied, causing the organic compounds in the soy solution to darken and reveal the writing. To read the essay, the professor had to carefully heat the paper over a gas stove, slowly bringing the hidden words to life. The idea was not just a clever trick. It was meant to demonstrate a real historical technique associated with espionage and covert communication. According to the professor, the creativity and effort behind the assignment perfectly reflected the spirit of ninja ingenuity. Even without fully revealing every line of the essay, the professor was impressed enough to award the student a top grade. #archaeohistories

@JasperFortd9ga @leighbeadon they literally did the calculation showing what it should cost now if it had kept up with the fact that things don't cost the same forever. it is getting expensive faster than almost anything else

@bbanghanji @Kuuhaku3993 It's funny how they don't struggle to pronounce 5 syllable Greek surnames, but fake struggle with a 2 syllable Asian name. I don't buy it.

I don't get why English speakers struggle so much with the "tsu" sound. It's literally the same as in the word "sports". It's not like they pronounce it "spors" like how they say "soonami"

In July 2015, NYC First Lady Rama Duwaji retweeted a thread that said, “F—k Tel Aviv. Shouldn’t exist in the first place.” Very similar language to Susan Abulhawa — which Mayor Mamdani recently called “reprehensible.” freebeacon.com/democrats/zohr…

NEW from me Rama Duwaji — the wife of NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani— shared several posts glorifying Palestinian terrorism on old social media accounts that remain active. Duwaji also used the N-word. freebeacon.com/democrats/zohr…
