David Chase as never given a definitive answer as to Tony’s fate, though he’s suggested that he did get whacked. There are hints throughout the series that this is what happened as well. Chris mentions “3:00” after his dream/coma vision of Hell from an earlier season. People speculate that the Members Only jacket guy killed Tony from his 3:00 (directly to his right) after leaving the bathroom, which would be a reference to a similar scene in The Godfather. Bobby speculated what when you get whacked, you don’t even hear it, you’re just gone, which is how the series ends. Tony himself described dying in a similar way. It’s all speculation but nothing in this show is on accident.

I BINGED all of The Sopranos over the last 3 weeks. The show was phenomenal. I rank it no.1 on my list. And yes over Breaking Bad or GoT or anything else. The ending...man...so many theories. Was he already gone? Was it another dream sequence already? But how did he know about the Virgin Mary from Paulie, if so. Maybe it was a happy ending. Any Sopranos fanatics here who know more? I used to remember my mom watching it when I was a kid and hearing the intro theme song once a week in the apartment for years before being sent to my room. I'm hooked on this show. I wanna watch it all over again. 🤌
