Did you know we came up with the name “Oh Dear” in a bar? We saw an ad for “Moeder Overste” depicting a head nun, and thinking what she would say if her website was down. We now use that story as a basis of a new marketing campaign where we send that beer to potential new users.

Ignore the messy cables, but which camera position do you prefer? Front and center or angled?

@GitKraken Just want to say this new "explain" feature on commits is life changing. Can't wait till it can generate a full PR summary.

@gonedark Yeah this is a really frustrating experience. I wish they'd change it within core.

Using the mocking helpers within the Laravel testing layer, does this pass or fail?

@gonedark That's super helpful @gonedark. Unfortunately were stuck with bit bucket at work. Do you have plans for an integration with that at some point in the future?

@BeyondLimits99 It’s the max number of concurrent instances. Like if you had 1000 servers or containers. It’s not related to time. Does that make sense? I.e. if your app handles requests in 100ms on average, then 1 instance handles 10 req/second. So 10k rps in total.

New docs page: "how Bref runs PHP on AWS Lambda" Since I get a lot of questions about this, might as well reuse that video in the docs! bref.sh/docs/how-it-wo…

Is there a way to make `dd()` more helpful with Laravel models? It shows all the internals and you have to dig through to find attributes. When dumping a collection this is very frustrating. Any magic to show the model attributes and relations more visibly?

The elephant in the room no one addresses when talking about this is that it doesn’t mean anything in practice. Businesses will happily continue to use obsolete versions of PHP, prioritising new features over proper maintenance.
php.net@official_php

⛔ As of today, PHP 7.4, and with that PHP 7 is no longer supported. 🆙 Please upgrade to PHP 8.0, or preferably the latest PHP 8.1 release, 8.1.13. 🆕 PHP 8.2 comes out on December 8th!

Hey @gonedark, quick question about Shift. We had an auto update run a few weeks ago called "Laravel 9 Mid-Shift". We can't find the option to run it again in the UI? Am I crazy?

@wizsecurity So hodlonaught hired KPMG to analyse the counterfeits, but somehow CSWs costs were higher? That seems like a stretch

The recovered costs are however capped as the court feels the amount of work exceeded what would have been necessary. Both sides went deeply into whether Wright really is Satoshi and whether Wright's evidence was forged, when the actual judgment largely ignored these aspects. 🤷‍♂️

So @hodlonaut won a pretty much clean victory against CSW, with the court basically taking a common-sense view that if you make outrageous claims then you have to expect being called out as a bullshitter. Notes from the judgment: 🧵
