While it wasn’t stated verbatim and it’s truly not only due to her wealth but overall love, devotion, sacrifice (including of wealth) and general virtues, it’s certainly an important piece of information and not out of place to draw a line. I mean, one can also ask what’s the evidence that he didn’t remain monogamous for 2/3 of his married life for those reasons which include her support (from her wealth as well). And we have the likes of Al-Qurtubi in Kitābul Mufhim & Al-Hāfizh Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqalāni in his monumental Fathul Bāri who preceded in drawing that parallel she drew (of course not just for the finances but the overall package like I said). Speaking of Fathul Bāri & the false claim that Abu Bakr was the only person the prophet named specifically to have benefited from his wealth, Ibn Hajar mentioned a narration from Musnad Ahmad that refutes that claim: ما أبدلني الله عز وجل خيراً منها قد آمنت بي إذ كفر بي الناس وصدقتني إذ كذبني الناس وواستني بمالها إذ حرمني الناس ورزقني الله عز وجل ولدها إذ حرمني أولاد النساء “She believed in me when the people disbelieved in me. She affirmed me when they denied me, SHE ASSISTED ME WITH HER WEALTH WHILE OTHERS DEPRIVED ME and almighty Allaah granted me children from her and not from other women”. [Musnad Ahmad 6/118] Ibn Al-‘Arabi Al-Māliki also echoed similarly in his Sharh of Tirmidhi, ‘Āridatul Ahwadhi and stated verbatim that the prophet benefited from her wealth, her intellect and her support. He said: كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قد انتفع بخديجة برأيها ومالها ونصرها

You're misinterpretating history. 1. It has not been reported anywhere dat it was the riches of Khadija that made d Prophet (pbuh) not marry until after her death. If U have, provide evidence. 2. The prophet pbuh gave 100 camels as her dowry. He was not in need of her wealth.

The fact that you think your education makes you better shows that no matter the level of one's education, if humbleness does not teach one how to speak, he has a lot to achieve. There's a difference between mocking people and criticising their views.

Rarara is a product of almajiranci sha. No matter how much money one gets, a lack of education will always show, and it often negatively affects others as well.

@Ad_Yerima People read meaning into whatever they want. At the end we are only responsible for what we say and intend, not what people project. I am not the type that shies away from uttering my position for fear of criticism or going against public opinion.

The advocacy that women should be financially stable before getting married is not a genuine call coming from the point of whether women experience financial abuse or not; largely, it is influenced by the ideas of women's liberation.

@BeebahEnny @SDogohn Nothing confines either men or women to revealed guidance – these are your words, not mine. Learn the usage of Quranic verses in their proper context, not random quotations. BarakAllah feekum

@Bin__Adam @SDogohn Apart from this verse being a commandment from Allah to all believers ( not only women) it is still Allah who guides, and nothing in this verse says woman having liberty will stop them from being guided

@Ad_Yerima You wrote a lot and at the end made my point. I was clearly pointing to a historical account of the start of advocacy. I never spoke about the impermissibility for work for women or possession of wealth. Ihttps://x.com/Bin__Adam/status/2067241802961182887?s=20

I might have digressed too far from your original position because you’re talking about the motive while I focused on the permissibility. The Hadith of Abu Hurairah RA in which a jinn taught him to recite ayatul kursiyy as protection against the jinn which was affirmed by the prophet SAW as the truth but the jinn is a liar clear demonstrates that as far as the idea holds true, then it doesn’t matter where it is coming from. I am not against your assertion that women liberation doesn’t have any antitheses to Islam. It does have but that idea of financial stability or independence doesn’t go against shari’ah as far as the manner in which it’s pursued doesn’t go against or negates shari’ah. Your take is talking about the motive while I am talking about the permissibility. And doing something or pushing for something with impure motives doesn’t made the whole thing haram in totality.

Not everyone who learns has attained an understanding. Our skewed understanding of religiousness is why we have not attained the desired effect of righteousness in the north. We think religiosity is just about praying. The deen encompasses faith, ibadah and character.

@BeebahEnny @SDogohn Okay, now explain this verse. (3:102) يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِۦ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ O believers! Be mindful of Allah in the way He deserves, and do not die except in ˹a state of full˺ submission ˹to Him

@Bin__Adam @SDogohn Bring the verse where women liberation equals liberation from revealed guidance, when Allah even told the prophet that he’s just a messenger, he’s not responsible for the guidance of any, that alone makes it clear no one is confined to guidance, only Allah guides

@Bin__Adam @SDogohn This is funny, Nothing confine either men or women to revealed guidance, their is no compulsion in the religion of Islam, who ever wills let them be guided and whoever wills let them go astray, there’s nothing wrong with women liberation, liberation is not restricted to men only!

@Ad_Yerima With this, you demonstrated not having an understanding of the discourse or what I wrote above. Kindly indicate where I said it is prohibited for women to seek the bounties of Allah?

I didn’t deviate. It’s you who are bringing things alien to Islam and shari’ah. Islam didn’t prohibit women from seeking for Allah SWT bounties nor did it suppress women to only be caregivers of children or caretakers of the household. They’ve every right to seek Allahs’ bounties in ways permissible under the shari’ah. You have no moral right or justification to forbid what Allah SWT had made permissible.

Saying only women know the problem of women is not entirely true. Reveal Guidance has all the tools to address every social issue. At such a level, if we go back to the Quran and Sunnah, we will find solutions. The women use to go to d prophet (pbuh) & utter their problems 2 him.
IBN ADAM ┇ ابن ادم@Bin__Adam

I don't like saying ''the problems of women'' because it gives the impression that only women know their problems and can address them and it doesn't concern men. Allah has placed the great responsibility of taking care of women on men; as such, it requires combined efforts.
