Corn ethanol is the most land-wasteful form of energy production there is, by far. And it's the one "clean energy" sector that got a boost in the GOP's OBBB. Pure pandering. Dumb as rocks from a policy standpoint. And hypocritcal if you care about land use.

NPCs shill popular narratives with no nuance. It’s the best way to get more short term attention and money and it looks like winning on the surface but it’s actually loser energy. This is for my 22 year old self btw. Realize this is privileged pov and for 99% of people first step is just trying to get that money.
