@BBCSportWales Bad, bad, bad. It might be ok at tier 2 but for the Prem with the North - South travel it's awful. It's going to affect the integrity of the league with all non full-time teams missing players. Rubbish for the fans as well with away travel.

The FAW hopes moving most Cymru Premier matches to Friday nights will help boost attendances ⚽ The Welsh top flight expands from 12 to 16 clubs next season, with chief executive Noel Mooney saying the Friday night trial "worked well". What do you think? 🤔👇 #BBCFootball

@Nigel_Farage You stood down to allow Johnson a free ride to deliver Brexit (in return for another £1m bung according to Ben Habib who you don't seem to be suing). You can't say it wasn't delivered.

10 years ago, today, the British people triggered an earthquake when they voted to get their country back. But the political class have betrayed Britain and not delivered a proper Brexit. Read how only Reform will deliver on the promise of 2016 in my latest essay. 👇

Rarely has there been such a contrast between a PM’s performance and public perception of it. It tells you all you need to know about the polarising & pernicious influence of our media ecosystem, including even the BBC’s own TV News. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@donmcgowan The next chapter is the authoritarian leader that gaslights the nation, bans non-compliant journalists and refuses to go no matter what. The only defence against this is the electorate at the next General Election.

While people like Peston or Dan Hodges will claim that they had foreseen this outcome for months, their role in the toppling of yet another Prime Minister shouldn’t be overlooked. If Starmer had been allowed to carry out his job without 24 hour barracking, I’d suggest we’d all be fine with how things were moving along. But we’re in a doom loop now. Those in the reactionary media, cannot maintain their own relevance unless they create headlines. The irony is that social media is replacing their roles and unless they drive the news, they become an irrelevance. So, when this exact same Groundhog Day takes place after they have ruined Burnham’s career, they can keep the loop in play. I don’t see a route out of this at the moment. Tory or Labour PM, we’re doomed to repeat the cycle.

European democracies are on the verge of electing leaders who answer directly to Moscow. The image of European politicians participating in Russia's flagship economic event should shock the conscience of the West. This event is a dark reminder of the immense danger looming over the continent. The traditional pillars of European strength and stability, specifically France, Germany, and the UK, are at risk of being hijacked by political networks beholden to the Kremlin. Preventing the National Rally, LFI, AfD, and Reform UK from winning the next round of elections is an absolute necessity for European security. Letting these parties take control would be a catastrophic failure that dissolves NATO solidarity and fractures the European Union from within. These movements are Trojan horses engineered to surrender Western leverage to the Kremlin. Citizens in these countries need a massive wake-up call regarding the reality of their political choices. Voting for these organizations is not a harmless protest against the establishment. It is an act of betrayal against your own nation and the wider free world. It is a vote for Putin. We must do a vastly superior job of fighting these parties on the political battlefield. Their deceptive messaging must be confronted at every turn, their funding sources must be investigated, and their lies must be utterly crushed by an informed and determined public

@prodnose I don't agree. The expanded World Cup has made the group stages more interesting. You will still get the big countries locking horns in the latter stages. Group games have often been stale in previous tournaments. This one has been good so far.

“The suspect appears to be motivated by anti-Muslim hatred.” Usually people like Shabana urge people not to speculate on the motives, even when it’s blindingly obvious. It could be due to “mental health” after all? Funny how speculation is allowed when it suits a narrative.
Shabana Mahmood MP@ShabanaMahmood

I am horrified by news of the attack in Edinburgh. I am grateful to the police and emergency services for their bravery in apprehending the suspect and for their speedy response in attending to the victims. The suspect appears to be motivated by anti-Muslim hatred. There is no place for hatred and violence against Muslims. I know it is not who we are as a country.

@villefrancheapt @Fx1Jonny Most people think terrorists are fucking scumbags. They don't even think about race or religion. They see a headline saying man stabs people and they think scumbag. They also think that people who think all people with brown skin are terrorists are scumbags.

@joecguinan What is the alternative? Capitalism has created a wealth divide that is unsustainable. What comes next is either a recalibration with sensible politicians like Burnham or further upheaval with continuity Thatcherism and Reform. No other path exists
